The writer has a point. I have a 360 and a Wii. I was in Gamestop this weekend. My 8YO said, "dad I want that new game with the bag guy.", ??? Oh. You mean Sack Boy. Ya yelled my 8YO and then grabbed the game off the shelf. I told him look at what system the game is for. Truth be told that if the game was available on the Wii or the 360 for that mater then it would be in my collection at home. If Sony was to have a price drop then I would consider LBP more, but I can not justify one...
with Coby Bryant, Michael Phelps, Arod and Tony Hawk. I like this one better...
I know that I can get a laptop with a Blu-ray player, but I wish that Sony would put out a portable player. I just replaced the kids old portables with the new FX820 players and I hated doing it because I really want to move over to Blu-ray. But its a tough sell to me when I can't bring them on the road. I think once Apple releases a laptop with a Blu drive then I will be more open to the switch.
So a big game costs $60 + the costs of a USB drive? No way never. I don't own a PS3 but this is a little far fetched. I have Blue Dragon and I actually like throwing in a new CD. It's a feeling of accomplishment.
Give me a break. You still need to get the game onto the drive and that would require multiple DVDs. Another Blog looking for hits...
I agree with you, that MS does not need to add on anything, and if MS comes out with a BR add on drive sales would be OK I guess. How many HD drives did they actually sell? But if MS was to come out with a new SKU and have an Xbox with BR internal, then sales would be huge. It would be a compelling reason to re-buy. Most people would get another 360...
The only thing you get that's worth anything is the in-game extra armor and weapons.
I still can't find one of these sitting on the shelf in MA or NH USA. I have a launch box, but my neighbors are still waiting to see one in a store before they get one. It's ridiculous.
If this is true, and by true I mean it will be able to play PS2 disks and not just down loads then it's a major step in the right decision for consumers best interest and I will probably get one.
Give me some bubble gum!
This article started off bashing the senior crowd, and failed to mention the U 10s. Kids 10 and under can play 360 and PS3, but lets be honest the wii is the better fit. In a few years they will be ready to move on. I now have 2 kids under 10. They love the Lego games. They play them over and over. They also like deBlob and many other titles, but there is no way I'm going to move my oldest on to Unreal for a death match. It's just wrong. Wii is good and it definitely has it's market. It's win...
Next year... 2009 will definitely be the year of the PS3... Sorry had to be said. It's a sale and as the holidays approach I'm sure we will see the PS3 go on sale. But Sony better hurry up. It appears, with the credit crisis in the US, stores are starting their holiday sales sooner...
<edit>
I guess those that disagree think TYOT PS3 will be 2010?
Why is it posted under PC. I know she is hot and may play a video game but come on...
<Edit> Thanks Cata... I didn't even know that based on the poorly written article. I should have wasted more time and clicked on the Tabula Rasa's link in the article. I don't even think I would have read this thread had it not been for the sweet jpg with man nipples.
"September 25th, 2008 is a day that gamers all over the country will cherish forever, for it was the day that the Florida Bar, months after the Honorable Dava Tunis of the Miami-Dade Circuit court found him guilty of 27 of 31 violations, found that John Bruce Thompson was permanently disbarred without leave from practicing law in Florida."
Finally....
Basically if MS was to offer free live then it would be better than a price cut for HW and all the people that disagree with all the xbot + remarks would buy a 360? If not who gives a F about what this one guy thinks?
Hey Megatron - you hit it on the head. MS haters have said all along that the only reason why Xbox is ruling software sales is because there are more xboxes. If MS sells more units then the software sales are going to keep climbing, and Sony is going to have trouble keeping the 2 slots they are able to maintain in the top 20 software charts.
I love playing them with the kids. The co-op rocks and it's a great learning place for the younger crowd before moving them on to Unreal Tournament.
Where do you buy your movies? I can get a DVD at Wal-mart for $5. Once I buy the DVD, I then own it and I can rip it and put it on my PDA, PSP, or play it in my Laptop via HD or DVD-Drive as well as watch it in my home theater. Why would I want to pay for a download that is going to have DRM technology and prevent me from watching something that I spend my hard earned after tax money on, the way I want to see it? I was in Best Buy the other day and I was looking for a MAC that had a BlueRay d...
mmbeta.rar. You should be able to find a mirror of the beta without a torrent need.
It reminded me of the old school in your face "SEGA" commercials. Sony needs advertising like this in the US....
