I never understand this mentality. Some people thought this about the Witcher 3. If you don't want too much open world then just stick to the primary narrative. People talk about getting bored after they spend hours doing nothing in open world games. All you have to do is focus on the main plot and maybe do some of the sidequests and most open world games stay pretty engaging.

No, but roomscale and 1:1 motion controllers do. Get back to me when you actually know what you're talking about. I've played through most of Doom 3 in VR and it's pretty amazing. Same with Google Earth VR. I agree that seated VR is somewhat lackluster when the novelty wears off, but there are some pretty big AAA titles in the works and with foveated rendering and eye tracking it's just going to keep getting better. I'd say 5 years is a better estimate when VR becomes real...

They owe me for abandoning the Wii U as well. If they had canceled Breath of the Wild for Wii U or significantly delayed it - I wouldn't ever buy another Nintendo product. They also have a lot to answer for with their greedy and lackluster proposed online service for the Switch.
