Im truly excited about this game, because it may ne the first time ill enjoy my RTS on a big screen.
Im also interested in those that adopt the control scheme and movement in future releases.

Im sorry, your thesis is very poorly stated.
If you look even at the basic supply and demand arguments in economics, you see that that makes very little sense as a plus.
You see Sony and Microsoft are companies, and as such do what gets them the most money. If a company must drop their price, its because they need more "demand" for the product, while if a company doesn't have to cut prices there is an adequate "demand" for the "supply" present....
If you had indeed played the demo you might have enjoyed it.
Unless you really hate RTS so I dont know why you would even care enough to post about it if you dont like the genera.
If you have a real reason why you disliked it please tell me.
Its to damn early to predict these things.
Even if developers had "abandoned" a console the effects would not be shown for several years because If a developer starts a franchise on a console and is almost completed they aren't going to scrap the project immediately just because they may not be developing in the future.

Destroy isnt necessarily the term to use for whats happening to Ensemble.
Its being liquidated into Microsoft and many of the employees are joining a new studio backed by M$. This new studio is poised to take over any further HW projects as well as continue the AOE series.
So while the name may disappear the people behind the games are just under a different name.

What the only major things these Devs have made are F.E.A.R. expansion packs.
