To be fair, iPads and iPhones though massively overpriced do alot more than a Vita is designed for so a price comparison is hardly appropriate.
The market just isn't what it used to be. People always cite the reaction of the media and those on attendance when the price of the Vita was revealed as being very positive, true as this may be, the media's opinion and reaction do not necessarily represent those of the general public and spending customer.
