I'm sorry but this article makes no sense.
I get the point, yea, there are other sequels that people would like. But, where in the hell does Zipper come into the picture for the other sequels? Aside from early PC games Zipper only made 'Socom' Games. What does the author want? Zipper to sequel 'Alundra'? That is stupid at best.
Socom 1-3 were excellent games IMO, and sure they will do 4 justice. To make an article about how we don't want a game from a game companies ...
@ Zeevious.
I believe you are absolutely correct.
From what I gather he's done nothing more than use the 'jumper' to bypass the main os and establish a 'mem dump'and that's it.
It really is no different than the satelite reciever hack where you need to bypass the 'TSOP' to access the 'EEPROM'(its mem) in order to rewrite the 'ECM' code for the Hack card to work.
Which is the huge difference here. There is no card to establish the workaround ...
Man i gotta wrap up the first quick! Cant wait to play this.
Bring it on!!
Here's a crazy thought. Maybe Sony look over the Playstation brand as a whole and derive any losses from that to investors? Sure they may lose some on the PS3 but could easily be made up from PS2, PSP and their exclusive game revenue.
Wow, that list is looking really good. Need to buy a memory card for my Go now.
Looking not too bad, has my interest for now.
Yep you can get symphony on psn and xbl. You can also get pretty much every other one on the wiis virtual console.
Castlevania 2: Simons Quest is one of my all time favorite games.
I think most of you guys nailed it.
If people keep buying it then Ninty will keep selling it.
But like any announcement of a new console, they will be quiet on the issue of a new console, untill its ready for release.
Sver here.
I was in the Private Beta, and was a bit skeptical but i had alot of faith in Zipper. I was a big SOCOM fan on PS2 and after the newest build this is Zipper and this is SOCOM on a massive scale. Thank you Zipper!
So we need an article on an optional feature?
From the Article
"After putting on the glasses and playing a good session, it's unclear if the 3D effect adds anything of real worth to the experience. The game looks great, and it plays just as well as you could imagine—this is Gran Turismo 5, after all—but after a few minutes I was ready to take the glasses off and play the game using the standard graphics on a normal television."
Exactly... not e...
Nothing in either camp has shown me anything that grabbed my interest with these motion controls. Until they do I'm not buying in, and hopefully they both show us more at E3 this year.
They both however have games coming out that do have my interest on the exclusive side. And I'm going to be busy with both consoles with the new games coming this year and my already huge backlog from last year. I need to start justifying my purchases to my wife, just so I don't get chewed out. A...
I'm immensely intrigued and excited for this after watching some of the gameplay trailers ( only a min or so of each so I don't spoil anything.), I can't wait.
This is looking awesome, I loved the first one. Can't wait for this and Mirror's Edge 2.
Wow their jaws must be sore.
I played many exciting games this year and while MW2 was fun, in my opinion shouldn't be GOTY or 'best of' for any platform. It didn't really feel like to me a huge improvement over MW, unlike other sequels that released this year that improved tenfold ie. Assassin's Creed 2, Uncharted 2. And not to mention the most surprising new IP's this year that turned out to be excellent.
GT wipe your chins off, it's rather embarrassing.
Crimson Gem Saga.
Man, i couldn't have said it better myself.
Kill Rico or have him come equipped with his purse!
Loving Crimson Gem Saga atm, bought it on a whim and its fantastic :)
Microwave scene + last battle + closing scene.
I will never forget those moments. There are other points in the entire series, but that last part was the best climax i've experienced and is truly the pinnacle in gaming for me.
Here's the difference.
If DF wanted to call out Square-Enix on the shortcomings of FFXIII on the Xbox360 then they should have done a call out article for it.
Not through a comparison piece in which they did. I just read through this article and DF's Face off article. The article at Games is correct for the most part. The article for the Face off however does come off bias, and for the most part negative not only for the Xbox360 but for the PS3 as well.
