Play B-Spec and you will realize how smart the AI is...
On B-Spec when the drivers are pressured they start making more mistakes. They get pressured when they are near other cars and they calm down when they are leading the race.
The AI is fine the only problem is that in the beginner levels the AI is retarded.

The Xbox had the best and had better hardware.

6 is not above average becausee the majority of games get scores of around 8-9 so the average is 8.5 really

Why do you want damage? What would it actually change?
If your a good driver and don't want to be babysat than just speed through the first couple of licenses and you will get to level 20 in no time.
If you are a noob driver than just put your ass down and learn to drive without crashing so that your ready for when damage will ruin your race don't worry about damage yet its not burnout.

I knew I would not be able to get Gold for everything so I set a target of getting Silver...
That way you pass with bronze you practice a bit on the hard ones and get Silver yet you don't have to pull your hair out to get the Gold.
Just forget about it and come back to it in a months time when your a better driver.
