Nintendo makes some baffling decisions. More games available early on and announcements to look forward to would have definitely increased the sales. It's too bad Nintendo didn't front more cash to high profile game studios for more support. This 4K resolution for gaming on a console is a pipe dream it's not going to happen unless the system is $600+ get a PC if you want this. However I bet the PS4 will support 4K resolution for Movies.
I let my girlfriend borrow my Snes and N64 with a bunch of great games because her little sister was into gaming (being a nice guy)... Then she cheated on me soon after and I never saw her again which was fine except I also never got my beloved systems and games back ;.( Ended up buying them again years later on the Virtual console though :)

Failed miserably was an exaggeration I admit. The launch was really good for sure but 2013 is looking lacklustre so far and Nintendo is really missing out on pretty much all the highly anticipated 3rd party games that apparently were supposed to be so easy to port and improve upon. It's strait up disappointing. Funny how people hated on the water temple in OOT so much. It was honestly my favorite part of the game :)
Sadly I was an early adopter of the Wii U who bought into the hype, now the only thing I'm looking forward to is Alien Colonial Marines. Nintendo has failed miserably at getting third party support and has yet to announce anything really compelling in my opinion. I should have saved my money and waited a year for a killer app and a price drop. Colonial Marines better have some decent improvements over the other versions like gearbox claims, although I'm starting to doubt that :(
Here are some unbiased opinions (rant) for the extremely biased N4G audience.
1. The Wii U is slightly more powerful than current gen overall with some weaknesses.
- If you think your PS3 is more powerful you are a fanboy.
- If you think the Wii U is way more powerful than a PS3 or an Xbox you are a fanboy.
2. Nintendo consoles are for Nintendo games and Nintendo gamers.
- Nintendo has not had great third party support since Snes.
Sony just patented Blu-ray Discs with RF chips in them meaning if you buy a game it will only work on your console once you play it... Now that's innovation!

The Wii U version of this game is definitely the best overall, it includes all the enhanced effects present on PC version with a variety of excellent control options not available anywhere else. I think that it is complete bullshit that I cannot play virtual console games on my Gamepad or with my Pro controller. Also it would be nice to have some kind of smoothing filters for these old games, free emulators do it why can't Nintendo?!
The biggest nitpick for me is when you boot up the Wii U and it shows the the neat lttle floating buttons which I like, but then this loading wheel appears for like 2 seconds and says please wait... I know this is a tiny thing but it just seems so pointless and not very seemless like its unfinished or something.
