I called this 6 months ago. Nintendo has a solid lineup this fall winter and there console has a affordable price they are more than ready to take on Sony and Microsoft. Also the 2ds was disigned for kids under seven at an affordable price.
All three consoles are powerful complex machines that will be able to output beautiful graphics for years to come rendering these graphics arguments borderline pointless (rendering get it lol) No one even knows how to fully utilize GPU tech from 2008 yet and it has gotten to a point where its more about artistic vision then it is about how many shaders you have. Also there is the whole LAW of DIMINISHING RETURNS but I'm certain that concept will be lost on most of you.
I remember before the PS3 came out Sony claimed it was capable of over a terabyte of computational power (basically equivalent to the Xbox One lol) I remember before the PS2 came out Sony's claimed specs where again about double its actual capabilities. My Gamepad easily lasts 4+ hours with the brightness setting at 7 and full volume. I don't see why this is such a problem for gamers, just take a 40 min break after a 4 hour gaming sesh and its fully charged. (switch to the pro controller if you really need to game every waking hour) How much strait gaming do you need to do in one sitting have a snack or get some fresh air then continue jeeze.
Septembers system update should hopefully help remedy the longish loading times
I agree the Hero mode in Skyward Sword wasn't very well thought out but you shouldn't just assume it will be pointless for the new Wind Waker. I'm just as excited for a more challenging experience as I am for the new and improved graphics personally.
Good read with many valid points about what was good and bad about Skyward Sword. Definitely one of the worst console Zelda games with the most annoying side kick ever IMO. I absolutely loved the motion controls though I thought they were extremely immersive and accurate, its basically the only game to get them right and I hope they are an option in the upcoming Wii U Zelda although I'm prob in the minority.
