No point making a half arsed gears game, it will not sell. I like what i am hearing so far.
I seriously wouldn't rule out it coming to PC yet.
Microsoft might want to maximise profits buy having it on PC too.
It never will be on playstation, PC is a possibility maybe?
Lets be honest Sony has been weak announcing games lately compared to Microsoft.
There is plenty of new IP'S coming relax. Consoles been out a couple of months and there lots of new ips coming in 2014
They just need a new storyline and new characters. The online experience above all else most remain the same just improved.
RTS as a spin off, yes, but no way can you make a gears game as just a RTS, it will not sell that well on console.
Gears should be a third person shooter anything else done with the series, should be secondary to it.
This might not all be bad news. Sony fans might yet be able to play the new Gears of war on PC?
Its now a Microsoft studio games, so very likely it will end up on PC too!
The rights have only been bought. Development for gears has not even started. It be late 2015 or early 2016 before its comes out most likely.
Microsoft will win next gen if they keep bringing more of the great games back and bringing new ones to the x box 1
Microsoft is clearly interested in games and thats what matters.
Hes making a arena shooter for PC, Hes focus is on that.

Gears 3 sold 6 million plus copies just on x box alone, that was late 2011.
Its only early 2014 now. Gears judgement came out 2013, but it was half the game Gears 3 was.
Gears still has a large fanbase and Microsoft knows that!
Phil Spencer recently commented Gears should go back to what made it great, more gritty and dark like Gears 1.
Reason why i am very optimistic about this. Epic games had clearly ran out of ideas with Judgement. New studio with fresh ideas could be wants called for.
I think this is great new Fresh ideas maybe is what is needed. This also is a sign Epic games is indeed working on a next gen title and its likely to be multiplatform

Sony doesn't operate dedicated servers for any games on the PSN network. Name one just data server belonging to Sony that operates in Europe for example?
Any game using dedicated servers on the PSN is belonging to the game publisher or the creator of the game.
Same thing on the xb1, only difference Microsoft can provide dedicated servers too. Sony can't.
Do you really think Sony employees would not have told Sony fans if it was true! ...
next gen is going to be about games and experiences. Resolution and frame rate plays only a small part. Its overblown really, but as an x box 1 user, i accepted long time ago the PS4 was more powerful.
But i had great fun and enjoyable time on x box live with 360 and now x box 1 and resolution and frame isn't something i think about when i game.
Gears is set in a universe there is tons of comic books with more stories and more depth.
Gears 1,2.3 was a trilogy its story started from gears 1 to 3, the end.
Gears judgement was a spin off and it was terrible. Epic just copied and pasted that game no real work was done.
