"Seemingly out of the blue, the first few months of 2022 are looking to be jam-packed, with plenty of hotly anticipated releases."
I don't see saints row reboot being an anticipated title. What I do see is alot of pending disappointment.
There are tons of factors but I'll mention two.
Companies seem to believe games need to be a cinematic experience which can be costly. The fun simplicity of old games is believed to be no longer profitable.
The second is woke culture. Somehow pc pushing sjw types have moved into positions of power and calling the shots on what's acceptable in all media. Which is causing an expanding rift on those of us wishing our entertainment was not tainted by such thing...
Iam sorry but whatever this game is its not saints row. It's saints row in name only. This is yet another beloved game hijacked by woke terrorists. Yet another company pandering to a small Twitter mob with big mouths who were never fans, but demand representation, at the cost of what made these franchises good. It's sad that this continues to happen. Apparently real fans who supported these franchises no longer matter neither does profitability.
Wow this is super impressive.
Anyone notice how link and other characters look like the late Michael Jackson?
So glad I didn't listen to reviews on this game. Everything i play 2 hours just disappear. The games not perfect it has its annoyances like the in-game map system but the good far outweighs the bad. Do yourself the favor and check this game out. It even made me want to watch ridley Scott's original blade runner.
Been playing this game today. Fought my way out of the waste disposal. I realized a good hour or so just flew by. That's a good sign. I wouldn't compare this to Diablo at all though. More like Warhammer inquisitor. Not a great game by any means other than the great graphical scenery but good for what it is. For 25 to 30 bucks not bad at all.
Wonder if you can blow up 2p's clothes too.
I think this is the first 9 I've seen for this game out of 5 reviews that had it as broken with 3's and ok with 6's....talk about all over the place wow. Guess I'll see where my own view of the game lands.
This game looks very very interesting. Had no idea I might be into a game about a cat.
Looking forward to this one.
F2p is never really f2p. There's always a paywall whether for cosmetics or xp boost etc. It's constant revenue so I get its lucrative nature. I guess it makes sense why micro transactions have been a thing in many AAA titles. Need to make money somehow. Both avenues are double edged swords though in the end something significant has to change or the industry will stagnate and no longer be profitable and more companies will be shut down.
@zeekquatro maybe your comprehension is lacking. Number one though other m had moments where the camera shifted to a different angle there was plenty of 2D areas to traverse so yeah I'll compare it to dread on that fact alone. Not to mention that other m was released late in the wii life cycle just like switch so deja vu for me though maybe not you. As for the Apple comment no false equivalents here just an observation when I see not only a huge amount of shovelware on par with apple but ...
@ultimateownage. True i can respect that. I just hate having to search through page after page of shovelware in order to find a decent game by a reputable company. It would help alot if they separated the B games from the A and AAA games via tabs or something.
"EA reacts to what other publishers are creating rather than striking out on its own."
Man...this really describes them perfectly. I suppose Capcom making resident evil remakes made them interested in dead space. I feel a bit guilty even purchasing this remake now. Maybe I wait for callisto protocol.
Horse armor for life!
Looks better than the garbage that came out on console not too long ago.
The shovelware on the switch rivals even apples shovelware. The amount of garbage on the switch is astounding. Really have to know your games and what's worth your time on the switch. I can definitely see the comparison to wii right now it's almost like deja vu. Even a 2D metroid coming out soon.
Honestly don't know who would even think such a thing. These two handheld are two different beast catering to two different demographics. The switch caters to young kids steam deck is more for older pc gamers.
I wish the original creators of the game were making a reboot instead. I really don't have faith in what this studio is doing after watching their interview.
The article is a bit dramatic. As a collector myself with hundreds of games across multiple retro platforms, i can tell you for fact that number one games have seen a massive drop in price since the start of the pandemic. Number two wata can never kill retro collecting. There is room for both types of collectors.
Any knowledgeable collector knows there will always be a handful of games that are costly like kuon, metroid Windwaker combo, Klonoa, etc. But a vast majority of g...
