No. Its the same, but does it matter. Xbl gold doesn't give you faster DL speeds either. Although Dl have always been faster on xbox I don't think it has anything to do with the service.
I disagreed with you only because once you buy DLC your able to use it even without Gold. Its on your hard drive. All your other points were good. You just can't play online. So if you buy maps for COD just because you don't have gold doesn't mean you can't use it, you just can't play online.

^ here we go! This article was ok, he had some good points aswell as some awful ones. For one, why would I want to pay $100 for xbl platinum. There should only be two tiers the same one they have now. Silver/Gold. MS need to make Silver free to play online but without any Gold services. Free games would be great that I would definitely take from PS+ besides that Xbl is already good. I have a couple transforming Dpad controllers and they're way better than the S models. I hope your wrong, but if Mistwalker stays Nintendo exclusive. Who can they get to continue the franchise? MS owns the ip so maybe they can work something out with a top JRPG dev. Hopefully Microsoft is already hard at work on part 2. IMO its one of their better exclusive titles. They made the 1st one to try and break into Japanese market, but it did not workout the way they wanted. That being said they shouldn't ignore the western gamers that actually gave it more love. Bring Lost Odyssey 2 and Blue Dragon 2 for the Nextbox! And see if you can get a remake of Jade Empire aswell. There's plenty of room for both JRPG/Western RPG. Japanese devs need to support ...
