Sony used to add their PSP Sales to PS Vita sales so it looked better. They also didn't announce sales much from software or hardware last gen when they were losing in sales or their exclusives didn't sell that well. I don't care about sales but I'm not blind to either side. I played some great games that didn't sell that well and have had loads of fun on my Xbox One even though it's losing the sales war to PS4.

Yep and that's what gets me the hypocrisy of it all...
When Balck Ops 3 launches or UC4 or Battlefront I expect everyone to demand official numbers in the first week cause apparently it's just "PR Spin BS" otherwise...

What is told to shareholder and whats told to the public is not the same thing. I don't see why people can't just be happy... if UC4 sold 5m everybody would congratulate Sony (as would I). No one would be looking for reasons as to question Sony's word (well maybe some would). Just be Happy.

I'm sorry did I say MS released a bunch of exclusive at the start of 2015 and need I remind you that the only think Sony had (AAA wise) was The Order and Bloodborne (2 2nd party games), technically they haven't even released a first party game this year.

Firstly, Titanfall is a console exclusive to Xbox and has seen the most activity through Xbox One.
Secondly, Halo 5 is lowest rated Halo (yeah by 1 on metaritic from Halo 4) doesn't really hold much water when the problem with Halo 4 was the story was good but the MP sucked and this time round Halo 5 story has narrative problems but the MP is great and arguably the best the series has had to offer. Which do you think will make it more relevant for years to come ?

Exactly. They should have just called iy Rush to Blood, I just don't understand why it needs the Until Dawn branding. It's marketing it towards those fans as you said... shamelessly cause it wouldnt sell that we'll by itself, let the games quality stand for itself. It's not until dawn, it's an on rails shooter.
Why are they shoehorning this great new horror ip into an on rail horror VR game. I know it's a standalone title but there using the name so it will connect with people familiar with the PS4 game. Also it doesn't look great and it could drag Until Dawn down...

But good things came from DLC too like great pieces of DLC in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, massive expansions to The Witcher 3, Bioshock Infinite, Mass Effect Trilogy etc.
Again I don't disagree with the point your trying to make, I'm just trying to say that MT can be abused but good things can come from it too in the same case of DLC, if it is implemented correctly which I think some games have done. That's the point I'm trying to make...
I agree... relatively speaking it could be much worse and if this leads to free maps and dlc then this is a win win for most gamers.

I don't play Destiny. Hated that game cause of what they did with their DLC... My thinking was more inline with how Rockstar approached GTA Online. It continues to get free DLC to this day because of purchasable money.

You said it would have fallen flat on its fave without halo... if the 360 (and PS3) was considered a successfull console then my analogy still stands. X1 has been outpacing 360 without Halo so far and now just imagine how well it will do with halo and a new gears, new Crackdown, along with all their new ip's etc.

I disagree... after announcing it at E3 (the most watched event by Gamers all year) and then releasing in the holidays while it's still relevant in peoples minds will make sure it does very well imo.
