What ? You are literally just complaining for the sake of it now. I like Sony's first party games... Uncharted, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, Infamous, Syphin Filter, God of War etc. all I said was first party is lacking...
You don't want to admit that it seems to me. I never once said exclusives didn't matter. I loved Until Dawn, I'm not really into Bloodborne but I recognize it's a great game and I really enjoyed revisiting Uncharted but that doesn't m...
I already told you it was in jest of FallenAngel's comment... saying that both could stand to improve next year. If you think Sony's first party wasn't lacking this year then your blind. LOL. Go enjoy your Games console instead of arguing in Xbox articles.
Whatever you say...
Don't see how MS first party lineup has anything to do with Sony's first party but you know more than me so I wont argue. Okay.
Funny how many Ponies you get in Xbox articles. Why can't you stick to your own circles instead of coming to an xbox article.
@FallenAngel
Didn't say they didn't I said both could stand to improve next year. And doesn't change the fact Sony's first part...
Really odd ? huh...
Well you continue to draw parallels all you like. But I ment they could both stand to improve in general not specifically first party. Also Sony have more first party studios so quite frankly their first party has been a little disappointing considering, it's been years since Bend and Santa Monica released a big new exclusive. I hope to see that change. I was expecting to see one of those two studios to announce a big new exclusive at PSX and they didn...
Bloodborne was not made by a first party (From Software)
The Order was not made by a first party (Ready at Dawn)
Until Dawn was not made by a first party (Supermassive)
Nathan Drake Collection was not made by first party (Bluepoint Games)
The only games that were first party (that come to mind) was The Show (a yearly Baseball game by San Diego Studios), God of War 3 Ramastered (by Santa Monica), Fat Princess Adventures (by Santa Monica) and Teraway Unf...
What you are making is a opinion statement off of how you feel an RPG is suppose to be when in fact RPG stands for Role Playing Game and Fallout 3 is a role playing game under the guide lines that you take a role as the survivor of a vault that leaves and has to make it in a new environment and construct your character and skills from their.
I agree that Fallout 4 is less of an traditional RPG in comparison to New Vegas but I disagree with that F3 was a bad RPG. It's just...
Fallout 4 is an action RPG (not a traditional RPG) but still an RPG none the less. Not as comprehensive as New Vegas, Pillars of the Eternity or Morrowind but not as linear/actiony as Mass Effect 2 or Witcher 2. It straddles the line in my opinion and offers us a very different experience which still gives us plenty to enjoy about the Fallout games. Fallout 4 is far from a perfect game but a good one none the less, a lot of my problems with it are the design choices hence why I hope they inve...
And Playstation had very few first party games... both could stand to improve next year.
Do you think Playground is working on a new PGR game ? Or something that isn't a racer ?
Shouldnt those be words every console manufacter/publisher should live by ? To make their next year better than their last...
@Dynasty
What the hell are you talking about...
I didn't say anything about PC, your talking about hardware from AMD and Nvidia like it has anything to do with my comment. Consoles don't change their hardware...
Amazon and Best Buy provide great deals for console games. Xbox live and psn have no competition on the digital front and it costs them nothing to provide digital games... so they can't under cut retailers who sell their hardware a...
It's great that consoles are selling so well. Means a healthier industry...
Beating the competition isn't the only measure of success I'm afraid. Phil Spencer has corrected the course of the ship and now people can see how great the Xbox One really is... it's selling really well, better than it's predecessor and it had a great lineup this holiday and it's got an even better one next year. Looks to be a pretty successful console to me, even though it's not beating the competition.
On topic. Congrats to MS on 2 years, the futur...
Yeah. I prefer Fallout 4 to the Witcher 3 but it is clearly the more innovative installment to The Witcher series than Fallout 4 is to it's series (in terms of tech, gameplay, scope and graphics). Fallout 4 feels to much of the same, better than the previous games but still the same.
It should also get Game of the Year above Fallout 4 for the same reasons. That being said their both fantastic games, it's great we got both games this year.
@Pete
All the value is in the MP. Most people spend about 50-100 hours plus in the MP and a campaign can only offer you a short experience. Please tell me how a short 5 hour derivative campaign, which would result in less content in the MP likely, would give you much more value to the game. If anything it'd be taking value from the game.
And this game does have a single player with the offline mode which are training, survival and Battles (against A.I.) ...
It's got more content than Black Ops 3 MP side of things and it to has a $50 Season Pass, short derivative campaign but nobody is complaining about that game... why is Battlefront suddenly put on this pedestal above every other shooter. It's launching with more content than BF4, another game nobody complained about lack of content for.
Whether you like the gameplay or not is completely subjective. It's designed to be arcady like the previous games... if your not i...
@EDMIX
Exactly, no one said BF4 or CoD had a content problem and yet they launched with less maps and modes. All the fuss is cause it doesn't have a campaign which no one plays in shooters hence why they didnt make it to begin with.
@EDMIX
Yes but I still feel like there doing enough to set themselves apart. But yes they still follow the same foundation of games in their genres... it's becoming increasingly difficult for developers to come up with new ideas and thats why I appreciate games like SSO, QB and HZD that are at least trying to approach these genres in a new way.
To be fair... "AC like" is very vague but I agree I think games will eventually run out of ideas, it happens in movies all the time. That's why I love new Ip's like Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break or Horizon: Zero Dawn. All these games look fresh and interesting to me...
@ScaReCrow90
Believe me I know. To be fair next year looks pretty great for both Xbox One and PS4.
