Playstation have not being "championing indie games", where do you think they have been played all this time ? Steam... the true believers in Indie Games potential, MS and Sony have just been jumping on the Band Wagon since the beginning... and do you forget Xbox Live Arcade (they may not have allowed self publishing but neither did Playstation 3 at the time)... But in regards to the topic at hand yes I agree Watch Dogs doesn't need to be compared against GTA 5 they are totally different Open World Games... I remember when Saints Row was just declared a GTA clone when it first was released and now look at it... it is a Open World Game in its own right. Yes they are third party developed... but there still first party games... ie they are second party developers, at least MS are trying to get us some AAA games and just cause PvZ is a timed exclusive doesn't necessarily mean it'll come to PS4... And you cant honestly believe Sony are in a position to support a lot of first party development when there company is in financial decline... I have no problem with Sony exclusives and wud love to see a return but Sony are ...
I agree man, I think the PS4 is great but lacking AAA games...
But if MS and Sony are fighting for the title for the whole generation the main people who will benefit is us the gamers :)
So I'm not to worried, just waiting till E3 to see what both Company's have planned for us... Last of Us should get me back on the PS4 a lot over the summer as I haven't played it yet...
The problem I have with PS4 and Sony is people buy consoles for Games and as great as Indie Games are, they should not be the focus of a games library and that is the case on the PS4... they are great addition to a Games Library but should not be the focus. I did not buy my PS4 for just Indie Games and they haven't announced a lot of AAA games.
And this is why I come back to my Xbox One more often, MS have an advantage cause they can afford more 1st party developers than ...
I agree at the end of the day what is a game console about the games... so they need to bring the games and that is what will win it for them in the end. Sony cannot afford to hire as many 1st party developers atm and this is where MS have the advantage, the Exclusive AAA games.
And refocus there efforts on marketing the console as game console primarily and not a media center is a big must... which I think Phil Spencer is going to do...

Kinect is a Mic, Motion Controller and Camera all built into one... when you take into consideration how much all those things would cost seprately the Kinect is not a bad piece of hardware... quality mic and quality camera...
But Video Calling is becoming a big form of communication across the world and the xbox one can achieve that now to with Skype...
Look I know id be part of the minority I love my Kinect but I am not clueless to what the Kinect actually ...

they pretty much are and are aimed to give a atmospheric battlefield to the game and they didn't want them to get in the way of player vs player combat but honestly I would prefer them to be a bit more lethal... plus the AI includes the Titans which are more lethal than the bots...

ESRAM could prove in there favor when Tiled Streaming is being used in all mulitplat games later on down the line, It may seem like a hindrance now but if Sony are adapting there console to Tiled Streaming both consoles will be able to use the tech and if they get better visuals/performance out of using it then ESRAM on a hardware level using TR could give them 6gb worth of textures plus the 5gb in the ddr3 Ram...
Now PS4 GDDR5 memory is pretty fast but limited to i think its...
Tiled Streaming is the best thing to push Game Visuals and Performance... I'm glad to see both platforms will be making use of it in the future...
Everyone is probably going to disagree with me but this shows that the X1 was designed with Tiled Resources or Tiled Streaming in mind with the addition of the ESRAM Buffer...
Now Sony are adapting there console to this technology so shows that there is definetly a lot of potential in the technology...
And i wonder how much you'd have to pay for a PC to do all that continuously for all games since next gen launched ? hmmm then you take into regard that you'd have to upgrade you graphics card every 2 years to maintain that amazing performance... I am a PC gamer but honestly its not worth the hassle when i can buy a new game and play it straight away on my x1 or ps4 without any hassle at much better quality than what you claim it...
