The idea of insiders in the gaming industry is becoming tiresome, and gamers need to stop believing what they say.
That’s the trouble with all insiders. They seem to get things right sometimes, and others they are completely off, and that is because most “insiders” are just people that just make educated guesses that a lot of hardcore gamers could guess themselves. They are usually wrong when it comes to their bold claims, such as CBOAT and his insane claim that the Titanfal...
Same for me... MASS EFFECT 4!!!

Its called optimization and file compression... Infamous Second Son is 24Gb in size and thats an Open World Game with good visuals...
Ryse was a launch title, with very small developer time window...
Plus a lot of textures get reused in Open World Games to use up less space...
Consoles have a greater level of Optimization unlike PC at the moment plus they have to cater for a lot more hardware where as consoles are fixed, the x86 architecture already makes it easier to develop for... They already make the Games with High spec dev kit PCs and then optimise for dev kit consoles...
Well Infinity Ward aren't making the game for a next gen for a start... Sledgehammer are...
Phil Spencer want's timed demo's and more demos on Xbox One... so do I :P
But I think that will be hard for developers when the main focus of this gen from gamers and media sites has been how many pixels there are on each multiplat game :/
Those are some very good point's on the lack of leadership from MS last year (Don canceling interviews after announcing DRM was the worse thing he could have possibly done) and have done very well to get Xbox back on course with the appointing of Phil, as he's doing a great job as we all can see.
E3 can't get here soon enough... super excited.
Very clever design of UI fro Xbox One hope it comes to the console soon, I wish Playstation 4 had something like this... It feels very un-unique the UI, Sony could really benefit from making the experience for players bit more customizable.
That's actually a fairly good idea, the hiring fans thing not the Moba thing... im not a big fans on moba's :P
@GuyManDude
I dont know why everyone is taking my statement the wrong way... You are reading what u wanna read... cause I said its people's opinion of which is a better brand nothing to do with popularity...
Everything else you have said doesnt mean xbox isn't as strong a Brand now, It has a very popular fan base now and the Xbox One is still the best selling xbox in history... just cause ps4 is doing better doesn't mean the x1 is doing bad. 360 a...
Yes 82.9 vs 84 is roughly about even. Well if how many Units is what makes the winner of the console war... The Wii beat both the PS3 and Xbox 360... I didn't state 360 was the winner you just decided to take my statement that way... All consoles did really well... The wii probably did the best tbh, had huge hardware and software sales and spent very little money for big titles...
And you'll have to show me cause I cant find anything that says what ps3's sales to ...
I'm not arguing with you that money wins a console war but I would definitely agree that a strong brand with a big commitment towards games are the best thing to win a console war...
But the Xbox 360 built MS's Xbox brand and made it a console to rival that of playstation... Xbox is just as strong a brand as Playstation now...
And in regards to who won the console war... all three competing consoles could claim some sort of victory... but if you are i...
"And Riding a Motherf***ing Dragon, Worth it!!!" :D
Hilarious...
@GameDev1
Well yeah your entitled to your opinion and I dont downvote or argue with people about their own subjective opinion...
But I have basic knowledge of software, drivers and API's too... I'm on a computer science course but I'm not gonna pretend I know how it will benefit Xbox One cause I'm not familiar with the architecture and how it completely works but I think we can both be in a agreeance that an upgrade of an API (from Dx11 to Dx12) is a l...
@GameDev1
And People downplaying it aren't taking it out of context and blowing that out of proportion saying xbox one will get little to no benefit ? I haven't made any claims just stated the facts... and given my own opinion...
You haven't worked directly with Dx12 or created it so you and I have no idea what it will do for Xbox One, plus you cant say it will be of great benefit to PC but little benefit Xbox One... and Xbox One is just specializ...
@convas
I wouldn't say neither parties have foundation of to which to make claims but the fact is MS have the backing of AMD, Intel and Nvidia... and a number of dev's who are working with the API
Saying such things like
"4 generations leap in one" and "doubles gpu performance"
On the other side you have people who haven't worked with the API downplaying it... what basis do they have for saying that ? None... <...
Considering the Batmobile alone in Arkham Knight (a next gen title) can take up the memory space of almost a whole 360 game and was deemed impossible to achieve on last gen consoles there is definetly a lot more they can do if they make a game for next gen and pc only...
But companys like EA, Ubi and Activsion would rather make continued money of 360 and PS3 (cause bigger user base) than push there games to Next Gen Only...
The 360 and PS3 are holding Next Ge...
The screenshot looks great...
I have complete confidence in Sledgehammer cause they are great developers but am remaining skeptical about the game, as it's been a long time since I have seen Call of Duty Innovate and change there formula... but 3 year development cycles will help a lot and give developers time for dlc and future games too instead of making the same game every year.
Ubisoft should take this approach with Assassin's Creed too.
Cant wait to see this game... excited for E3...
