This is an awesome strategy, I always wait for well reviewed triple A games to go on special (only drawback got to avoid spoilers, can't watch a damn review without them spoiling the best moments). Honestly I do this myself to avoid the possiblity of having chicken livers / noodles for supper on a daily basis. I bought God of War on launch and completely messed my budget, ended up having to ration food in the house. Was totally worth it though lol, that game was amazing

The unfortunate reality is that we all use to earn these things in game, now they are all locked behind a paywall with no possibility of earning them through gameplay. Basically taking away the incentive of playing 1 game constantly

I got the just of it, they'll add a whole bunch of microtransactions and dlc (that's EA though). See how it works in a development team which focused on awesome single player games. Then lock the true ending of the game behind dlc. They tried this with Mass Effect 3 and Bioware almost got shut down but we are living in the age of gamers that buy games like The Division and Destiny so they'll go for it (viewing the trailers the whole shared world aspect gives me the same vibes)

It's going to be an amazing game but let's be honest, they are going to milk the online mode to the max just like GTA5 and the price of the game will not go down from launch price for the next 3 years. GTA5 actually costs more than Horizon Zero Dawn right now
