what about mario galaxy showcases that motion controls are so great?
a shake of the wiimote replaced nothing that a button couldn't do and the IR pointing to pick up starbits isnt' even necessary. Even the levels that require you to tilt the wiimote aren't showcasing anything spectacular.
Do a lack of motion controls make mario 64, mario sunshine, mario 3, super mario world any less playable?
if i had the option to play with a classic controller in Mario Galaxy 1&2 i'd agree with you whole heartedly.

i'm getting this for sure. i bought the first game months ago because i had never played them and shortly thereafter the collection was announced. I stopped playing because I wanted to wait to get all 3 in hi def. Looking forward to playing it next week
It's an ancient series that has been irrelevant for over a decade. It uses an archetype that was cool in the early 90's. The majority of the people who played Duke Nukem 3d are well into their late 20's early 30's and no longer care about hooker jokes and buzz cuts.

It costs 40 dollars, that's cheaper than the text pad, the ps3 blue tooth remote and the dual shock 3.
Lack of dual analog isn't a huge deal. Who would want to play a dedicated ps3 game with that anyways?

I couldn't give 2 craps what IGN or any site score GT5, I have it preordered and I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of it. Scores rarely matter because it's only someones opinion. I know what I enjoy and what I don't enjoy.

gt5 is going to sell boatloads and i'm loving the game so far, it's so damn fun.
