Among Theives, TLOU, Witcher 3, A Theif's End, HZD, Spider-Man, What Remains of Edith Finch, S.O.M.A, GOW, Days Gone, Detroit Become Human, Until Dawn, A Plagues Tale, Red Dead 2, Nier. I'm sure there's more but these are just some of my off the top of my head favorites.
I fell I need love with Infamous around 09. That's when I got my first PS3 in the Slim model and man was I blown away by games like Infamous, Uncharted, Resistance among others. But there was just something about Infamous, its character, city and powers that gave me so much joy!
To say I'm excited for Ghosts of Tsushima would be an understatement because after all the years of creating open worlds and all they've learned, I can't wait to see SP's magnum...
@Imalwaysright didn't see it blame RE4 for everything, just the RE series. Dead Space rocks, for obvious reasons!
Yes it has the old school RE vibe to it, even with some of the structure layout. I also loved the "Everyman " approach and thought it added to the experience. He wasn't trained or a badass, he was just like a lot of us would be in a similar situation.
I hope the mainline games stick with contained contamination areas, preferably rural areas and have regular people dealing with the horrors.
They can keep remaking some of the more traditional...
Yeah I agree and I see lots give 5 a pass but man I did not care for it at all! it wasn't a bad game per say, neither was 6 from design standpoints but they just did not feel like RE to me.
I think they aren't saying 4 was bad but it's design led to 5 and 6.
Big RE fan here from way back when it all started and I gotta agree with this a little. I love RE4, love it but what followed with 5 and 6 just about did me in. Now 5 and 6 aren't bad games, in fact they are great action games but not great RE games.
It's like they just took the perspective, weapons and action from 4 but left out the atmosphere and horror. Sure we got RE Revelations and they were more like the OG games but the production wasn't as high. I hated ...
I love Gravity Rush and it's beyond me why more don't play them! Nintendo fans especially would find them fun.
I've played most the exclusives this gen and if you like action/adventure with great narratives it's kinda a no brainer! There's also GT Sport and MLB The Show as well. Not mention VR! This is why I own a PlayStation!
Yes they do and I've taken out a few with stealth. Throwing distractors and then lighting them up with napalm.
I was burning out nests in the eastern part of the south map and I did two abandoned houses and one in a cave. I threw a Molotov at the cave and began chopping down the few that ran out. What I didn't know is there was a horde sleeping in that cave and they flooded out! I almost shit myself lol!
I believe a horde mode is coming this summer. Also a survival mode and I believe some DLC.
Yeah everything comes together to make an incredible game. Another little detail I like in DG, is how Decon will say something like "there's a Breaker" or "oh great a bear." It's helpful because it gives me a heads up because they are always off in the distance and it allows me to take the proper precautions.
I've been gaming since 1985 or there about and in those 34 years you get a handle on who delivers what. Now that's not to say a studio or publisher are always at the top of their game because sometimes it fluctuates.
Capcom and Konomi are good examples because for decades they delivered some of the hottest games. At a certain point they went "full retard" and as Tropic Thunder taught us you never go "full retard!" Capcom has done a marvelous job...
You know how to avoid anger or disappointment related to things that concern EA?!?! Don't buy products from EA!!!
I'd like to see something new from ND. Maybe a sc fi game or maybe a fantasy game. Who am I kidding I'll play whatever game they decide to make because they are the me of the absolute best!
So true about the structures being accessible and adding to the immersion. DG's world is one that is actually fun to explore, much like Red Dead 2, HZD and Witcher 3.
In most 3rd party open world games the background isn't rendered as detailed as some of the other assets. Like I love photo mode and take tons of pics and in AC Origins/Odyssey I'd zoom in on bodies for some more grim photos and in one instance there were bodies that had been tied up under water an...
That's amazing, absolutely amazing because it's incredibly detailed!
That would be great! I can't wait for the eventual sequel on the PS5! WIth more money and power I think they'll flesh out and add even more to its world.
I loved Shadow of Mordorand the Nemesis system. They could make an actual LOTR game with the Nemesis system and I'd be down.
If this I still what I'm thinking of, then I've been waiting a long time for it! Sounds so cool and I can't wait to give it a go!
Edit: Yep this is the game I was thinking of! First read about this on here like four years ago or something and it just intrigued me.
