I agree about Phil and that one time in the middle when he came back out and he was smiling and shaking his head like Hell Yeah we're awesome. I was like what the hell am I watching and when is it going to pick up and it never did. It's like the whole Xbox team live in a bubble and have no clue what is going on or what gamers want. They so needed to have a BIG win yesterday but what they presented makes it even more of a failure for me.
I came in during the middle of the trailer and I was like holly cow!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!
I was really expecting Microsoft to do something last night. My wife even said "you are actually thinking about getting one?" That was before the conference mind you, but yeah I was ready for them to give me a reason to buy one. Which I could easily but with no new games I can't. I still can't imagine what they were thinking. It's like they live in a bubble and have no clue what is going on.
After what happened today I would say that Sony are gonna kill it tomorrow. We know most of the games that will be there and the rumors suggest From Software and Sucker Punch will have some surprises. If they just had gameplay from most of the games from last year and release dates I'd be happy but we know there will be a few surprises.
I guarantee GOW will have game play tomorrow because on that huge building billboard Sony put up in LA says it releases Nov 28th 2017! So it has to be close to ready if they are showing billboards with the release date and it would be smart to do so as Scorpio will be releasing. EDIT: Well that image may have been edited so it may not release in November. I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
The building billboard in LA says God of War will be released on November 28th. Gonna be a great holiday season!
Yeah I'm 36 married and four kids so I would say high school was a long time ago for me. Been gaming since 84. I was a day one Xbox and 360 owner, Microsoft lost my business with the disastrous Xbox One launch and today was their day to earn it back and you watched the same conference I did so an X is not in my future. To be upset because your favored console handlers didn't produce isn't a reason to lump everyone who is skeptical of Microsoft together as trolls or high school fan...
Kakashi I'm with you 100%. I was burned by Microsoft with the Xbox One unavailing but with all the talk about Scorpio I have to say I was intrigued. So I watched like you said with an open mind but after about 30 minutes I was like what the hell is going on? Such an opportunity to win back former customers but also like you said Origins has me excited as does Metro Exodus and Shadow of War but again they are all coming to the Pro so it's a wash.
The price is fine with me but what I'm still in a daze about is the lack of Exclusive megatons. I was really hoping for at least two new exclusive IP's. It is what it is.
As a former Xbox and Xbox 360 owner I was hoping Microsoft would give me a reason to open up my wallet but I have to say it was a bust for me to be honest. I'm sure the Xbox faithful were more than pleased and the X is the most powerful console but all the games that I really have to play are also coming to the Pro and while third party games may look better on the X I don't have to have it. Crackdown 3 finally releasing is a good thing but I was so hoping for more single player intim...
If it does launch at that price point then it's not a deal breaker for me but what I need are some awesome exclusive games. I don't need a 4K blu ray player and I'm happy with my Pro. What I need are some new IP's and if they reveal three or four new ones and have game play of Crackdown 3 then that would go a long way in my wallet opening up. I'm glad Scorpio is coming because the more 4K consoles we have the better. Maybe it will help developers be more consistent in what...
I was reading through what EA showed and this stood out to me. Very interesting and I would've loved a game like this years ago!
Really good read and I can relate to the author 100%. It's so funny because just the other day I was talking to my wife about how I have so many great games but I struggle to find the time to dedicate to each one but like he stated there is comfort in knowing that the adventures are waiting for me.
It never ends but at the same time I don't remember backwards compatibility being a talking and selling point four years in during the 7th gen.
Cults always creep me out so I may have to check this out.
I really hope it does well because I love the art direction, what I've read about the story and the way Ninja Theory are developing it. Blurring the lines between AAA and this guerrilla style of game development will bring the costs down considerably and in turn they won't have to sell as many units. I just love the hark work and the way they are making it happen!
That's cool and I've played a few games they have developed like Heavenly Sword, Enslaved Odyssey to the West and the DMC reboot. I really enjoyed the ones I played and have fond memories of Enslaved!
I have fifty PS4 games right now and a good chunk have been completed but on the flip side there's a good chunk that hasn't and with all that's coming and the ones that are out that I haven't gotten yet backwards compatibility is the farthermost thing from my mind. If it was a feature for the PS4 then I suppose some would enjoy it but for me I literally never say man I wish my Pro could play my PS3 games. I'm not sure why it's a selling point in 2017? This new gen sta...
I'm so excited for next Monday! I can't wait to see more of the ones we know of and like most I sure as hell can't wait to see the surprises!
Good I've been waiting since last November!
