Exclusives not mattering must be a relatively new idea because I like a lot of my generation have been gaming since the early 80's and exclusives have always been part of the equation. As more and more companies came into the picture exclusives were what differentiated them apart from each other. As costs have risen I will admit that there are less exclusives now than there used to be but they are still a very important part of what sells a console. Third party titles fill out most of a g...
Very well said and especially on the library tipping point. I was in the same boat with the Switch but went ahead and pulled the trigger and got one about a month ago. It came with Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2. I too am looking forward to Mario V Rabbids and of course Mario Odyssey! I have like 50 games for the PS4 and will expand my Switch library as new releases come but at this point I don't even see any reason to buy the X or S. I still can't comprehend w...
It's so crazy to think that this silly garbage had so many Democrats and other politicians in tizzy's in the early 90's LOL. From Byron Dorgan to Lieberman to Hillary and even ole Bill"Slick Willie" Clinton, they all wanted to wage a war on games like this, Mortal Kombat among others. And all it did was create more useless legislation that costs companies money and kids still got their hands on the games, I know I did.
I love this game and as I have stated before I have Schizoaffective disorder and not only do I deal with it on a daily basis but so do my wife and our three kids. I think Hellblade is not only a fantastic game but also an opportunity to educate people. Do I see demons, well no but four years ago I started seeing people who weren't there and hearing auditory hallucinations and really I thought my life was over but with support and proper treatment anything is possible. I couldn't imagi...
It's crazy how Microsoft is handling Xbox software wise. Pre E3 I thought maybe they would show off some cool exclusives for their system but as it is I went ahead and bought a Switch last month that came with Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. At this juncture the Switch has more games coming that interest me than what Microsoft has on offer. At this point I feel like I'm covered with my Pro and the Switch.
I would love a sequel to this game!
I go back to it every now and again and sink hours into it. It's one of my all time favs!
I am really enjoying Hellblade and I think it does a good job of trying to convey what it's like to live with psychosis. I have Schizoaffective disorder which is a combination of Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder so I was intrigued by this title when I first heard of the subject matter it was gonna deal with. I don't know about it going mainstream but I feel it will find it's audience as it is a very well made game and maybe it can help inform people.
Life is Strange, The Last of Us,The Last Guardian.
It's never too late.
What's not to be sold on?
That and GT Sport and Horizon The Frozen Wilds.
Of course I would love for all the PlayStation exclusives to launch ASAP but this is the real world and a lot goes into launching a game, especially a AAA title. I'm looking forward to the Crash trilogy next month and I have to say that I saw a good chunk of games on the Pre Show that I'll be picking up this fall and holiday such as GT Sport, Hidden Agenda, Everybody's Golf, Knack 2 and Hellblade. Also Uncharted LL and Frozen Wilds will be day ones for me. With Sony's partners...
Really cause I would think a company that is incapable of releasing compelling software or unable to hire the talent to create compelling software would be holding gaming back. Exclusives have been part of the gaming industry since the beginning but now the self entitlement mindset has many and they can't tand it if their console of choice doesn't get Sony's exclusives. If I were them I would change my console of choice because they are unable to create exclusives in both quantity...
It has nothing to worry about. Lets just play the waiting game and in a few months time we'll revisit this and see.
They showed a lot of games during the pre show. Knack 2 and GT Sport were both shown and Sport is coming out this fall.
You are right Joe about Twitch being bad. I watched the pre show there but when the conference came on there was no sound so I went to Youtube and there wasn't any more problems.
It seems a lot of folks missed the pre show.
It would be cool to the PS5 the PS5 and say all PS4 games will work with it. I doubt they will be it would be cool nonetheless.
