What is cel shading?
Cel-shaded animation (also known as Cel shading or Toon shading) is a type of non-photorealistic rendering designed to make computer graphics appear to be hand-drawn. Cel-shading is often used to mimic the style of a comic book or cartoon.
However, the end result of cel-shading has a very simplistic feel like that of hand-drawn animation.

To begin if Sony had released a PS2.5 with HD graphics in 2004-2005 to beat the 360 to the market (which wasn't HD is I remember correctly) than people who bought the PS2.5 would most likely not buy a $600 PS3 1 or 2 years later.
Sony doesn't release consoles as fast as Infinity Ward releases Modern Warfare games that would be stupid.
Also lets not forget that GTA IV would be much better if it was a PS3 exclusive...

The game would release with 2 maps and every month another 2 maps would be available as DLC for just $15... and when the new maps came out the old maps would purposefully put you in empty rooms to make you think that everyone is playing the new maps.
Maybe I should work for Activision :D

I agree with the people above this woman can not complain... Some games (if not all games) require the use of legs for example you need to step forward to make a car accelerate forward.

@Whooooop although the software sales may not drop to low lets say that an extra 1 million at max wouldn't have ever bought buy a PS3 but now would buy it because they can get free games... for every 1 million games that are downloaded Sony would lose $10 million as they get around $10 for every game that releases and even more from first party games.
I don't think it will help Sony's pocket but it won't harm them too badly.
