OK so people say that Sony could ban people by detecting the 10s of thousands of people who are all playing the same disc (from torrent sites) and than ban anyone who is playing that disc...
But what if you back up discs and return them as second hand copies? or even return them with 30 days and get your money back?
Does that mean that the person who buys the disc also gets banned if you play at the same time as him? Or will not detect that 2 people are using...

It would take them a bit over 2 hours to download a dual layer Blueray game but remember most games are not dual layer and under 25GB...
In March BT will install fibre optic wires in my area and I was going to upgrade anyway.
Also back in the PS2 days you could buy any Pirated PS2 game for $5-10 from a couple small video game shops I don't see why these shops that won't start this again for the PS3 especially since you probably won't even need a chip.
Theoretically you could walk into the shop and buy Infamous 2 (an offline game) for $5-10 a week after it's released go home put it in and start playing with no danger of getting banned.

No one has time to download 40GB games but if this is like the PS2 I remembered that I just used to buy pirated games when I was young for $5...

However I just download them because that way I get to watch them a day after they release in US.
The UK usually takes 6 months to release TV shows.
For example No Ordinary Family hasn't even started in the UK but I have watched the first 10 episodes already.

It is not really a converter it doesn't work like all the other PS3 converters...
It can convert a 720p MKV movie to VOB in about 5 minutes on my crap PC... the same thing done with a regular converter would take me more than 2 hours (and I am being very generous)
You can than play your MKV files on PS3 is really really quick trust me...
Or if you have a wireless router you can just stream everything...
So surely a base speaker would cause more damage than jumping on the floor.
