Can't you just make extremely high textures for the PC and use those same textures but at a lower resolution for the consoles?
If the PS4 was built with upgrades in mind than that would be really cool.
If they could make it really easy to just buy an upgraded CPU/RAM/GPU and just switch to PS5 in 4 years than it would truly be a win win.
But what would make consoles special from there on why not just buy a PC?

I don't think Sony will ask you to give them your PS3 when you buy your PS4.
If you want to play PS1 Classics (which should be easily emulated onto PS4 by now I mean PS4 is 4 gens ahead of PS1 it shouldn't be hard) or if you want to play PSN games and such why not keep your PS3 and not through it away so you can play all the stuff you bought FOR THE PS3 on THE PS3.
Well a friend of mine in college let me use his today.
The 3d effect is cool and the camera is awesome. But the game that was on it the one with the dogs sucked so much that I couldn't be bothered to play with it to see if my eyes would hurt after 15 minutes like they say.
Well if I was Japanese and my house was swept away along with my PS3 and I had no food to eat I would be morel likely to be a PS2 till I get back up on my feet and buy a PS3.
Well rockstar already owns the studios and equipment required to use mocap they are not renting them are they?
Also it would be nice if GTA V had a bit more variety in choices you can make. Realistic facial impressions would help you decide who deserves to die and who you should trust or even help trick you.
I don't know about you guys but I still play GTA 4.
If it had split screen I would play it even more.
I don't think it was as good as San Andreas when it released but it is a hell of a lot better than lodes of games out there.

If it was to save money from the Sony PS3 Slim than why would they remove it from PS3 Phat.
Sony saw that hardly anyone used the feature.

Well if you build a multiplat on each platform individually from toes to the tips and put in some love it would look as good as an exclusive would look on that platform.
It just means you have to do a lot more work for each platform.
Uncharted 3 Story Co Op will not work.
It is not an option when the game is built around a feature.
In order to have Story Co Op the whole story needs to follow 2 or more of the characters around. That means Sully could never get trapped under a falling tree while you have to go rescue him.
Drake could never get locked in an under ground pyramid all on his own with the mummies.
Elena could not jump out of a plane half way thr...
Saying the PS3 hasn't been maxed out is a stupid argument...
At the end of the day even if the PS4 was released tomorrow with 2010 technology it would make PS3 graphics look outdated.
Or maybe powerful PCs will be so basic in 10 years time that eveyone will have one just like the majority of people in some countries have HD TVs.

You are forgetting that the console industry is always growing and that more and more people are starting to play video games.
The further down a consoles life you get the cheaper is should become to produce equally as good games right?
