I don't know about Google but Sony always says... we have nothing to announce at this time, regardless of what it is. That way people can't use the logic to work it out.
Basically if they said no a couple of times we would know that unless they said no it meant "we are working on an arrangement now" or yes.
It should be just a simple update unless there are hardware restrictions... (browser using the chips that move normally uses)

The PS3 browser can easily run 480p and on some websites even 720p videos but youtube is restricted to 240p for some reason...
Since Youtube=Google I am sure when this update comes Google will unable AT LIST 480p which is like regular TV quality.
Even now I use my PS3 to go on youtube sometimes because I can't be bothered to move my desktop and my laptop has no HDMI so 480p on youtube would mean a lot to me.
There are more than 1000 Sony stores... so 1 person will go to every shop... some shops will have 2 people.

I can only top up 5 pounds on PSN at a time so if something costs 13 I need to take out 15 pounds from my account and save the 2 for later.

could kinect be connected to xbox 720 and make itself run at 60fps by using the x720s faster processor? have people managed to crack it on the pc and make it run at 60fps?

People need to realize that Sony doesn't only use Cells in PS3s they use them for their TVs as well.
That may be why they bought the plant.
Also they still need to make around 50 million more PS3s which means about 50 million more cells. By buying the plant and using cells in 50kk PS3s and their TVs they could save money.
They don't have to use it for PS4.
I bet the NGP will sell more than the 3DS when it comes out though.

I was like you at first I even downloaded Chrome and uninstalled it cause I liked FF but trust me once you get used to it it is just faster and simpler.
Especially with a few extensions for the download manager.
