I've always loved the first game and hopefully the great installment of the third one (I trust M$ they will throw everything at this title to make it great) Will highlight the overated naffness of Halo 2.
The story for these games is epic (I admit... I read the Halo Books, lol) Bring it on Halo.

Owning a US PS3 in the UK gives me no issue when registering for an online account and using the Playstation Store. As long as I put in a US address, which was pretty easy and so far I have had no hassle with it.
And obviously no problem with playing games or playing back DVDs or BDs.

So this is the little "Thanks for your money" offering we are given with the PS3. The PSP gave you a free UMD of Spiderman and a UMD case holder when you first signed up your PSP.

This is at least true....for NOW.
It's very hard to say because the xbox is on similar par with the Dreamcast (Not a popular statement) but the Xbox360 has an ace up it's sleeve that I think will stop Sony from having such a massive share of the market. That is of course - Xbox LIVE.
It's not really because Microsoft believe they are Pioneers in online gaming - it's because customers are sucked into a premium subscription service that will encorage them to stay...
I work in the retail consumer electronics market and the reason behind this was because of MARGINS on the PSP and it's games.
Selling just a video game console will not make any profit, just a loss. Where we really make money is with the add-ons and extended warranty.
It's also a Sony force tactic to flood the market with PSPs. Just like they did with mobile phones.... handing out free PSPs left right and centre.

This is a cinema buff's magazine, of course it chose the PS3 as it's winner, because as a central media centre. It cant be denied that the PS3 is best at doing that against the other consoles. In the eyes of a home cinema fanatic the PS3 is a bargain price. (I once spent £3500 on an AMP before)
However this review by "Sound and Vision" does not weigh up it's gaming side at all and I don't think they intended to either.

To be honest, over the last two weeks I've seen quite alot of people on here start to stand up and shut the door on the "Sony Haters" and it's good to have an article like this with some very valid points from the last few people.
As for saying it's a "Shame" about the HD-DVD going because it had some good points in comparison to Blu-ray. I'm afraid these things happen though. In the eyes of Bluray... (Who are now doing disks in MPEG-4 for the same quality ...

Back in 2004, I remember Killzone ariving in the mail on it's launch day ready for me to unwrap and kick ass. I've been glued to the magazines and the internet sites about it for ages and it looked like the BEST thing on PS2 yet.
You know what, I was suckered into it so much - I forced myself to enjoy Killzone and appreciate most of the things in the game. Bearing in mind many things were flawed about that game.

I got a PS3 back in November. Way before anyone here thought about Pre-Orders. The guys are Gamestation and my work (Comet) were not even confident on discussing the PS3 (Because it wasn't officially released for March)
