End game is what broke TOR for me, Rift was better though. GW2 is a brilliant game,but I just didn't feel like pouring my time into it as I've done in WoW. I am not sure what exactly lacked though.
Interesting read. I still miss playing WoW, I've even tried Rift, GW2, they just lacked something that WoW had. Well, at least the earlier WoW, maybe not so much the WoW of today. IMO the most valid points are
1) PC gamers should be included in Destiny
2) Proper end game content is key
I think tournaments should be open to all. But, I've also seen that when given the option, women tend to prefer competing against women. The reasons for that vary from how they are treated, to thinking that it will be easier to compete against females. I played competitive TF2 for almost 2 yrs in a male clan, it was awesome and I loved it. The competition was also incredibly hard and at times I missed the more erh, refined nature of females ;)

It would be a massive waste, I agree. It would be better though to play it sooner rather than later because it's kind of a prelude to the rest of the game
Interesting read. I do think that dev abuse DLC though, but it can also extend the longevity of a game. As long as DLC doesn't replace making a properly finished game initially.
