The Watch_Dogs PC fail is the best example for me. Ubisoft hyped it so much, but in te end, WD played and looked better on console. So, PC is the king, until it's not.

WD was like THE example hey. What a mess on PC. Also like those games you mentioned, Halo! There might've been a time where PC was the king, but I don't think it is anymore.
Maybe project Christine will help solve some of the PC "hassles"? Too bad Razer is taking forever with it

To each his own IMHO. There are reasons why people prefer a PlayStation or an Xbox or a PC.
But in TF2 the gamers also made and are making stacks!
IMO Valve struck the perfect in-app purchase balance with TF2. You don't need to buy anything to have an advantage in the game, it's just for bells & whistles really
