But it's so useless, why are there such pointless and dumb monetizations?
How is third person a bad point? You know how badly people would've reacted if it was an FPS only?
The 3rd person view WON'T give an advantage, because everyone has access to it. It's not a glitch or a cheat, it's a game mechanic, just like in the other 2 BF games.
2 emotes which are basically useless and instant unlock tokens for the gear, also useless. Free dlc a week earlier, also harmless. I'm not seeing the issue here, as far as offering free dlc it's already a step higher than the other EA games.
Well Battlefront has always traditionally been a MP game, so it's understandable that this wouldn't cater to the singleplayer market.
Do you not think that there will be new features, separate from the old game?
Or Reddit. Game got torn up there on the /r/Games and /r/StarWarsBattlefront subdreddit. Did fine on the other more casual ones like /r/gaming and /r/videos.
It's pretty dumb though, so many people talking about cut features without realizing that there's obviously going to be new content. It doesn't have to be exactly like BF1 and 2.
They pre-order I guess because it's $5 for a potentially good or bad game. Nothing too major, can always be swapped out.
Definitely won't have exclusive DLC on PS4, at most they'll have an early beta or a week earlier DLC. Most likely taking up stage time on Playstation E3 as well, or possibly their own conference.
Try Nightmare Frontier or Cainhurst castle, I've had a few good fights there. Wherever there are bell ringing maidens is usually a good place to find fights.
I like how they seem to think that people want to instantly unlock items, it's stupid. The whole point is to work towards the goal.
It's a great game, it just didn't work at launch.
BAttlefield 4 is fine now, it had a terrible launch, agreed, but its a whole new game now. As far as gameplay and mechanics, DICE hasn't let us down, and hopefully they've learned from their mistake.
Something which really annoys me is how sometimes all the PS+ games aren't present in the PS+ games section. I had to search for OlliOlli in the store myself to add it into library, and if someone hadn't known it was free, they'd have missed out.
I wouldn't say under-rated, it got a number of 8's and 9's and a few 10's so it did well critically. I just don't think the XBO had a big enough install base at the time to fully appreciate it. If they'd sold it now it would've done much better, but it did fairly well commercially for a new IP.
Wish there were more screens, all I can tell is a couple of filters added.
Isn't that the point of fighting games? You try out all the characters, find a few you like and start to master them, their moves, combos, finishers.
Eg. I'm a beast on Kunimitsu in Tekken, Mitsurugi and Taki are my mains in Soul Calibur, and Raiden in MK. Obviously I'm not good with every character, but there's a few that I've mastered.
TBH, I don't want another Bloodborne. It's an amazing game, one of the best on PS4 now and probably for a while, but it told its story. Its world is fulfilling enough that I feel that From could pursue other worlds, maybe something like Bioshock with Rapture and then Columbia.
I feel like Bloodborne as a standalone was great in and of itself, but it doesn't need to become a series, perhaps a spiritual successor like BB was to Demon's Souls would be better.
Well I mean, it started off as a Battlefield clone, that's how Battlefront came to be. So it'll most likely have the same feel in terms of the vehicles and stuff, but I hope they can add new things into it.
They did have a leak which suggested they have an "aggressive DLC plan" like the Battlefield series. Which kind of sucks.
$45 for 4 character is that for real? Goddamn.
