Looking forward to seeing this one in action. Will buy for PC (for myself) and PS4 to play with friends so ill be interested to see how the two versions stack up to one another. Best battlefield to date? I think BF2 will always hold that record, but seeing as it looks to be going back towards the more BF2 style (eg commander, bigger squads) then hopefully it will be the best modern BF to date.

I hope so. As far as I'm concerned 2 years isn't enough for a battlefield title. Hopefully with the extra year they'll be able to get in more content. So rather than having 10 maps at launch and 20 DLC hopefully it will be the other way around.
If not then we know all they are doing is looking for more money rather than building on the game.

God I hope that doesn't happen. I can imaging it now. Battlefront 3. Battlefront 3.5 now with £40 DLC. 10 maps at launch. Space maps are extra (OTT, but the point still stands).
I don't know why you have all these disagrees. Either it is actually a demo, which seeing as how close to launch it is it wouldn't surprise me, or they are being made to rush the game out before they are ready, and have the beta as late as possible to try and fix all the bugs before the public get their hands on it, which essentially makes it a demo.
For me battlefield is really starting to go down hill. The game is slowly becoming more and more simple. Back in the days of BF2, there was an in depth class system that everyone had to work together to get the most of. People could only spawn on squad leaders, making them useful. There were fantastic mods that allowed experiences on par if not better than the core game itself.

It's not the fact I have to pay money for fairly priced DLC, its the fact its there in the first place. If there was like 20 maps at launch and 10 DLC maps that were not announced before launch I wouldn't have so much of a problem. The issue for me is they have already planned out what they are going to sell and how to make more money before the game is even released. 10 isn't bad. Plus like 20 maps for DLC. Its a shame I'll have to dish out £40 extra just for the full experience. I almost feel like i'm buying half a game. Oh well. Still looks better than most FPS's coming out this year.
I will definitely buy it when it comes out but there are now loads of other games with the same sort of idea coming out soon that have my interest. Miscreated, 7 days to die and the dead linger. But yes I think I have kind of lost interest. I stopped playing the mod a while back so i'm hoping the standalone will bring something fresh to the experience.
This looks pretty good! Although I do wish they had have spent longer on it to make it not so BF3ish. I mean I would have liked to have seen another BFBC title in between. The problem for me is the same problem I have with BF3. The minute BF4 comes out I don't really have any reason to go back and play it so I'm kind of worried that when BF5 comes out it will have the same problem (unless they do a remake of 2142 which god I hope they do) I still regularly play BF2, more so than BF3. ...
To be quite honest I'm more looking forward to playing planetside 2 than I am titanfall(on PC). I love the gameplay of planetside but none of me friends had a PC that could handle it. I only make the comparison as they are both in the future setting. Don't get me wrong though I'm still looking forward to titanfall.
If all of their consoles are already sold out they are not at a disadvantage, it just gives xbox a chance to catch up.
