I compared this PS3 list to the 360 list. Interesting numbers. In the top 20 sellers, both systems sold around the same number of 3rd person shooter/action games (cca 43mil), RPGs (cca 4mil) and racers (cca 10mil). FPSs sold twice as much on the 360 compared to PS3. (cca 66mil/30mil). Sport Games made it only on PS3 (cca 8mil).
So when it comes to top sellers there are more similarities than differences. Both camps like the same genres, PS3 gamers prefer more Sports, 360 game...
The matter of fact is, online play on PS3 is and will be free. Buy the game new, simple as that.
I can feel EDGEs 7/10 already :)
Actually playing as a new character against Kratos isnt a bad idea. With numerous fights with Kratos through the game, one epic final battle where your character eventualy dies by his hand. Im waiting for a game where the hero dies and "evil" triumphs and I wouldnt mind it.
I would say Dark Souls, or Demons Souls for that matter, has (re)created a sub genre Id call a Survival RPG. Elders Scrolls is much more open ended. They dont compete in the same field in my opinion.
I disagree. Daxter is nothing like Clank. They are both sidekicks but thats where the similarities end. Clank was always dull and boring to me. Daxter is full of himself, hes funny, yet inside hes a coward. The equivalent from Ratchet universe would be cpt. Quark.
Joe Hisaishi. That is why im buying the game.
Oh come on. The reviewer has different tastes. Its too difficult for him. He didnt like it because of it. Its his opinion. For him the game is so unforgiving that he consider it "broken/bad allround". Thus the score is 4.
Is there an offline/splitscreen option for coop?
Well, the upgradeable hardware is obviously nonsense. But fetching a beer? Yes please!
Oh yeah! Give it the treatment it deserves Naughty! Something like Strangers Wrath is getting (new textures, high poly models etc.)
I agree, that fixed camera may work for some games. I just remember from veronica X being very frustrated because my aim was often a wild guess. I wasted those oh-so-precious bullets because I thought from the angle of a camera that I am aiming straight at the enemy, yet after first shot I had to correct my aim.
From a fixed camera angle you simply cannot aim precisely. I remember playing code veronica X on the ps2 and even then the controls with fixed camera angles felt extremely slow, clunky and dated.
That is why I loved RE4. It felt fresh, it was fast and also scary. The later action parts of the game, I admit, felt kinda out of place. But overall I think it had the right balance.
Damn, I didnt notice so many of them :)
You mean the 3rd person semi tactical shooter with soft RPG elements?
I liked Mass Effect 2, its great for what it is, but it is not true RPG, why does Bioware feel the need to stick that label on it?
Kevin Butler should have been the bartender.
As much as I would love to see another Metal Gear game, I cant get hyped from this. First of all its a demonstration of an engine. Second, Its Kojima. He makes smokes and mirrors and easter eggs all the time.
Ha Ha! That is cool.
Absolutely. The swinging alone in open manhattan was pure joy.
Ha Ha! When I looked at the article I thought it got like 7/10 or 8/10.
