These stories follow the " working around the clock" and "next few days" updates. Can't have one with out the other.
Very true! But you have heard from them, it's the answering machine message- "We're sorry but we currently have not new update. We are working around the clock and hope to have online play up in the next few days. We are sorry for the inconvienence"
Sony is hurting?!?! I've been an avid follower of Sony for some time now, but I am passed the point of feeling sorry for them. This is a company making more in a day than people here make in a life time. They got extremely cocky and complacent with their network and got hacked in the largest breach of personal data in history. I am sick of people making Sony look like some kind of saint. They aren't! They have been quiet about everything. It shouldn't take so long to give people u...
@banditgoon
I could do it if they were updating us in the 5 sentence blog by saying something other than "no new update" or " a few more days". I have 2 PS3's and will continue to support the PS3 this generation, but this lack of consumer interaction regarding this situation has truly made me wonder what I will purchase next generation.
Things I could be doing instead of worrying about PSN being down?
For starters I can avoid clicking "Read full story" and giving these pointless articles the hits these sites are craving.
We all know there are plenty of things we can do when the PSN is down, we don't need more pointless articles telling us how to live our lives.
@ cardenjs- I wish Sony would have had better protection in the first place. From what I've read it was fairly simple to have the network- which is the problem. If it would have been a difficult process with proper security it would be different- but from what I read it wasn't a difficult task to do.
I agree!!! I have An original ps3 (phat 1st gen) and a slim. I have supported and defended Sony and the ps3 since day one, but the more I hear about this whole thing the more pissed i get. Sony has been extreme cowards when it comes to informing consumers- taking a week to inform consumers of the loss of personal data- and now it comes out that they "were unaware" of a vulnerability to their programming that the world knew about? Cmon- Sony is not some small computer software compan...
Just like pepsi will say they are better than coke In every way
I would imagine after you change your password on initial log in you'll have full access to your account. Which mean Sony will see alot of credit card information deleted.
Yeah, all I want is service back. As soon as I can get online again this will all be a distant memory. Granted they won't be getting any of my information, they will get my gaming.
From article
"According to the news release, Hirai will speak at 2:00 p.m. Japan time (9.00pm PST, 12.00am EST, 5.00am BST, 6.00am CET)"
So go ahead an enjoy UFC, then get the news at midnight eastern
especially since its the only story on insidepsn, noobs
edit: a disagree for stating the source site has only one story, and this is that story.
I love the agree/disagree system- its flawless /s
I agree, I didn't really go through the first one too much, but this one is an absolute blast. I get the longevity mark down but everything else is amazing. But all reviews are opinions. Some we agree with, others we don't.
That event was in regards to service, this class action suit has to do with the compromise of personal information. I don't know what the intentions of the buying suing is, but I'm not upset about pan being down and that effect of my online gaming, I'm pissed they lost all the personal information I entrusted them with and failed to notify me in a timely manner. This case has more to do with some ones unhappiness with AT&T, not loss of entrusted info.
This case...
In light of this, I bought Portal 2, still got MK and Socom ready for when online comes back, but this will hold me over... forgot singleplayer days, love my online...
So they say they didn't steal user data, well that sounds like they are admitting they had something to do with the attacks then. If they were going to hold the stance they didn't do this they wouldn't need to say they didn't steal our info. Way to go anonymous, you openly admitted to causing this. Now, I'm off to buy portal 2 since I have completed MK's story and Socom's single player. Thanks for the offline game time. Douches.
Game looks much better than past renditions, but I think its lame that GameTrailers video is literally all footage from the demo. Weaksauce GT...
I've only got about 2 hours of play time in the multiplayer and its fun. It's definitely not perfect. Spawn killing is an issue and choppers are extremely over powered when you have unguided rockets to shoot at it. But I'm enjoying it thus far.
Those "retarded American soccer moms" you refer to were the parents, wives, children, family and friends of service members who gave their lives for their country. Families asking for a little respect for those who died is no need for such ignorant comments. I personally take offense that you would so carelessly refer to the families of fallen service members in such a manner. I could care less what they call enemies in the games, but don't disrespect people who gave their lives...
But they bowed for 7 seconds!!!!!
