though i think the unreal technology is reaching the end of its like, xbox owners have a great game to look forward to, console owners have one heck of a year ahead of them.
much agreed, i loved my dreamcast, though i loved my playstation too. but there were soooo many features of the dreamcast that were way ahead of its time. it was internet capable. it was a footstone to xbl and psn today.
fishy-- trust me we Americans know. i remember when they came out they were praised at the best provider then people realized they sucked. they were once preinstalled on new pc's and notebooks, then they included the disk and didnt preinstall it and now they dont even do that. aol is a horrible service.

well how does aol uk work? aol does stand for america online, so if there ip at all resembles an american ip and they are playing in europe, then yeah konami said they would block them. it was in a story a few days ago when people were getting accounts outside there region (ie us users getting japanese accounts). so if aol says anything about America for there accounts or ip konami unknowing of the condition blocks the account.

Was any one expecting any different. It was expected to happen to which ever side lost the format war. Luckly for microsoft they didnt have as much involved so they will recover quickly. Toshiba is a big company that will recover. Just a pinch in their pocket book, but they will grow back and be fine. The same losses would have shown up if Sony lost the format war, but the PS3 sales would have suffered ALOT. I think had HD-DVD won the console war would also be over.

i was thinking the same thing, i sure hope they arent looking to make too much money this week.
it was a huge success on 360 so it would only make sense that if given the opportunity they would put it on the ps3 (if microsoft doesnt throw $XXX million to keep it away from the ps3), get as much money out of a good game, im all for that, what im against is companies like ubisoft recycling games, calling them new and charging 60 bucks--- vegas 2---, but i would love to see bioshock on ps3, if ported properly i would drop 60 bucks on it, as for rainbow vegas 3--no chance
i think their use of "playstation" is a generalization of video games, i think the high sales of ps2 kinda put the term "playstation" synonymous with video games.
As a member of the Air Force, I can relate to the "getting away from stress" Especially for the lower ranks who get told what to do all day at work it's nice to come home and just enjoy some game time. Gaming is a great escape from the real world.
you know dsolomon it would be nice to know the actual numbers to what the true status of failures for this gens consoles are. one- we know that its not going to happen, sony and microsoft are keeping those numbers locked up tight to avoid giving the other a better appearance, but hypothetically speaking if they were to release the numbers, there would be sooooo many people flaming that story from both sides. i bought the 20 gig on release and upgraded the hd and have had no problems and thats...
you're right things like this happen, but when this gen of consoles came out and the first one on the market put such a sour taste in people's mouth and it quickly became a bad point in consoles, instead of taking all the good in the consoles and how far games have come since atari and nes, people nit-pick any and everything that happens, ie rrod, ps3 disc problems, nintendo friend codes... it doesnt seem to have an end it sight, come tuesday well see it again when all the gta comparison vide...

the same with r6v2, its a recycled game, but I'm pretty sure that GeOW2 won't be a let down for 360 owners. All early shots I've seen of it look amazing.... Now if we could only get it to go multiplatform....
