well based on the 3 games you listed you should get the ps3 seeing as how they all will be on the ps3, where as gran turismo wont be on the 360. as for price, the value of the ps3 out weighs that of the 360, due to the blu ray player. Graphically they are currently on the same level but i would venture to say the ps3 will soon show its true potential. youre right with how long the consoles will last. despite what any one tells you the ps3 will outlast the 360. microsoft will have a console so...
I enjoyed the heck out of my dreamcast, and i consider it a great system. as for its lack of 3rd party support, look at the wii, it has 3rd party support- thats makes crap games. dreamcast was just over powered by the supergiant sony. but yes i would buy a new sega console.
@ bill,
i know you read the news posted on here, so you should know that if tt sells rockstar wont follow, they fall in to a category where in a sell out they are release to do as they please, and they would keep all rights to gta. rumors are that sonys game division is in the talks of pulling them as a dev company under them which would keep the series true to its roots with tons of support. but thats just a rumor. but if tt sells r* is free. as for the 2k sports series? they will ceas...
It really should have 4 player co-op. I mean if you look at Sony's answer for GeOW2, Resistance 2, it has 8 player co-op and 60 player online. I think Gears should easily be capable of 4 player co-op
i must have missed that, it would be cool on xmb, but i look forward to having the full home integration. i guess well see in june. Trophies, Home, In-game XMB, and great games coming, could be a good year for PS3.
trophies.... without a Home to put them in...
slim is nice, but not really necessary. i would like to see a better ventilation system though,
I dont have a problem with him questioning sony, but i think he would come across better if he more boasted the 360 and bashed less. People tend to like the guy who is proud of his accomplishments more than the guy who looks for anothers shortcomings, example would be democrats in the primaries.
plenty of wii's in the phoenix area... come and get one.
Shane Kim is a very big asset for the Xbox camp, he knows how to keep people interested. Phil Harrison used to have that affect for the Playstation camp, don't know how he'll do for Atari. Hopefully MS keeps Shane around for awhile
would be nice to have a rolling track sheet of your achievements, from generation to generation.
If they are really aiming for high quality, then we might see some EA games get some major delays.

The size of dvds seriously hindered gta 4. I personally think the game had way more potential than is delivered, if it had more space.
very nice, i bet this guy doesn't even own a ps3, the only one he sees is at work. when he watches movies, he puts the tv on mute and puts his head next to the fan.
This is retarded, its the best blu-ray player but don't use it for a blu ray player? The only reason I could think not to use it for a player is over disc drive usage.
You are missing out!
its not possible, the capabilities are just not there, dont get me wrong they can make games look better than they have thus far but they wont reach the levels of the other two.
As for rock back, it looks the same because its not a graphically demanding game. the focus of your attention on that game is the notes, which is why the background lack astonishing visuals because they want to keep your attention on the notes, but now try to get cod4 on the wii, it cant be done.
not that i completely disagree with you but i think you should take the time to enjoy the other systems prior to making such a rash confession of love. While i understand your lack of funds, your love for 360 may just be that of ignorance of other systems, its like falling in love with the first girl you meet in life and never meeting another girl, is that love or is it just what you think is love. expand your horizons and enjoy the other to systems.
i dont think demos are changing the way people see games, but due to downloadable demos its easier for people to get their interest in them. the problem with demos for me is that most of them are either REALLY bad or not a fair representation of the game. Take your example of turning point. i was very interested in buying this game due to the story, but the demo and massive mockery of the critics quickly took it off my radar and to the category of "Forget about it". I know you don't...
you might want to do your research a bit more, the ps2 is capable of handling way more processes, and allows for better graphics. the wii is just a game cube with motion controls.
