Many people waited for Halo 3 to launch before buying a 360, and it was probably more hyped that Reach due to the conclusion of the main story arc.
Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Halo Reach are all major 360 exclusives released this year, with Fable 3 still to come. Compare this to MAG, Heavy Rain and God of War 3 are the major PS3 exclusives released this year, with GT5 to come (probably). That's 6 exclusives to 4, so I don't know where you got that "PS3 has alot more games" analogy from.
Many people like to be well informed regarding the sales of games and consoles, out of interest. It's true that it fuels fanboy arguments, which is why people see it as a negative thing. Gaming is more than just playing games now, it is an industry.
Yeah that must be the reason...
Maybe they count nav controllers as a sale. Wouldn't be inclined to believe the console manufacturers for numbers, they always tend to blur the truth.
The Top Gear icon at the bottom will ensure that it sells (at least in the UK).
cheers mate.
They're more or less saying you can have as many friends as you like, I doubt many people would reach 1000 without purposely trying.
I only have like 12 on XBL, but I don't add strangers.
the upcoming new dashboard is much faster though.
I honestly can't see a single difference.
Pachter openly admits to making mistakes. I guess you predicted it would sell millions eh?
btw Uncharted 2 sold 1 million this year, its overall sales are around 3 million so it sold around 2 million last year.
The top 5 selling PS3 games overall are shooters.
I don't know where they get the Assassin's Creed comparison from, and if anything Bioshock copied Deus Ex! Warren Spector (creator of Deus Ex) also created System Shock, which heavily influenced Bioshock. People also need to realise that Deus Ex was around WAY before these two franchises existed.
I've bought my last two games from supermarkets (Halo Reach and FIFA 11) mainly because they have great prices for new releases. I remember Modern Warfare 2 being £25 at Morrisons on the day of release last year.
Not surprising really, they lifted the review embargo the day the game came out in the US, so everyone who pre-ordered will have got the game.
The worst thing is that they haven't confirmed a new date, they're just leaving gamers in the lurch. Pretty bad customer service for what is many people's most anticipated game of the year.
Maybe Sony ought to rethink their strategy then. This isn't the first game that has been delayed this year, look at SOCOM4 and LBP2. People talk about how the PS3 has such a strong lineup for 2011, but they announced these games so early that some of them will undoubtedly be delayed further.
At the end of the day you can't always account for game delays, but it happens all too often for Sony games, and all it does is frustrate their fans.
You say the video of Move doesn't reflect the final product, so how can you be so sure that the videos you post reflect the final version of Kinect? Way to contradict yourself.
Good memories, shame about the music. Guess I'll have to download the original soundtrack and play it over the new one.
I also bought the game, but not at release. Its sales were massively hurt by Read Dead Redemption, possibly the most underestimated game of this console generation.
