Must be a great beta if it's winning GOTY. Also, I somehow doubt the PS3 version is gunna be considered for next year's awards.
Actually, its a no name website reporting on the Golden Joystick awards, which is the world's oldest gaming ceremony. Also, they have a cut-off point of like August/September, which is why the likes of Assassins Creed 2 and Uncharted 2 are in there.
Great game and well deserved.
Also, I'm surprised that Assassins Creed 2 beat Uncharted 2 to best action adventure; kudos to Ubisoft nevertheless.
pffff well there's been Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Halo Reach and now Fable 3 in terms of exclusive titles this year, with many great multiplatform games like Red Dead, Enslaved, Fallout New Vegas, FFXIII and soon Call of Duty Black Ops and Assassins Creed Brotherhood.
I guess if you take away ALL those games though, then yeah there's not many.
Really? I seem to remember many people predicting Kinect would be a massive sales flop.
I would rather have new games. You can play Xbox games on the 360 anyway.
Very impressive for only one day. Hasn't even come out here in the UK yet.
Don't worry, Halo Reach is keeping me VERY happy.
Watch the Gamespot video of their hands-on time with the final build of Kinect and they specifically mention that it is very responsive.
Also, anyone who I've seen play Kinect are (or seem to be) having fun. People can say what they like about Kinect, but isn't that the overall aim of a video game product?
If it is then it's one of the worst kept secrets ever.
As usual we get the old "this site is shit, they're all 360 fanboys" comments. Maybe none of you bothered to read that the argument is taken from PSM3. You didn't even have to click into the article to realise that, it says right there on the description. Another example of people commenting after reading only the title.
As for the argument itself, I don't think the points raised will take away from the experience. It's just a shame that it has taken...
I went into Game yesterday and the assistant said that they are sold out for launch. He also said they would start demoing it in-store, which is cool cause I have yet to try it myself.
When you look at the launch titles, it's not actually all that bad. There is certainly something for everyone. I still think I will wait until it comes down in price though.
Funny how a game so highly regarded back in the day can be so poorly reviewed now. I still think it's a great game.
Articles proven false should just be deleted.
Taking a beating would be like getting 4s and 5s. You're saying that 7s and 8s are crap scores?
Same as Fallout New Vegas, Gamespot don't seem to be enjoying their RPGs recently do they.
Glad they sorted out the coop mode for this one, definitely a reason to buy.
Just because the Eyetoy failed doesn't mean Kinect will automatically suffer the same fate. That's like predicting the Ipod would've failed because MP3 players hadn't caught on.
Could be interesting given it's from the developers of Scribblenauts.
