@Nukacola
Cant believe I forgot to mention the both of those, thanks. Batman: Blackgate was great but the combat was annoying. Outlast was a beautiful game, quite artistic.
I was debating on getting this game but at the cheaper price point and all the great reviews I may have to pick it up tomorrow.
@Beans
You're welcome! Gaucamelee was free with Games with Gold on the one last summer, and Dust was free on the 360 a few months ago I think if you download the games each month.
I totally agree, Shadow Complex was one of my fav games on the 360.
@Rustedman
Totally agree. What was the author expecting to call the three of those games sequels that didnt live up to the expectations. They were all great.
Im with you, a huge metroidvania fan.
Like Dread said, try Ori, it is amazing. Some other games to play would be Gaucamelee and Dust: Any Elysian Tale if they make it backwards compatible. Both were previous games with gold offerings.
This is awesome news. Have all 4 xbox 360 games on disc but having them on my harddrive makes it much more convenient. With so much greatness on the One no wonder my wife feels neglected haha.
For me the biggest down sides were the focus on talking on a video com all the time speaking with Alfred; lack of challenge maps for combat and predator; not much use of detective skills like no tracking a villian using detective mode as much as previous games and of course the batmobile. While I did enjoy it and think it could of been a great addition, there is too much reliance on it and its like Rocksteady got lazy and used it for boss battles instead of coming up with creative boss battle...
100% agree. The boss battles were a joke in Arkham Knight, yet they were awesome in Origins. That boss battle after completing the milita missions I thought was going to be great but it was such a let down and another "bat-tank" battle.
Also disappointed with the lack of challenge maps. They were a fun part and like a game itself trying a stage over and over to beat yours and friends scores.
IF CDPR were able to make a huge game like The Witcher 3 at a much lower costs than most blockbuster games recently then other developers should be able to do the same once you take out the marketing costs.
I feel ya I did as well. Oh well still get Metro Last Light which I havent played yet. Hope it is backwards compatible.
Nothing really on sale this week that cant be bought at better prices elsewhere.
Its crazy how many good IPs Microsoft actually owns. They could easily have teams putting out new, different games each year.
Another series I would like to see a sequel too is Blast Corps. Loved that game on N64.
They're a small team that made a AAA game on a smaller budget then most games coming out today. Unlike some studios I believe that CDPR created these add ons after the game was finished hence why theyre releasing it for free.
Since Microsoft published the game would it even be able to be ported to other game systems?
From what I can tell it isnt an IP owned by them so a sequel seems to be able to appear on other systems but as a publisher of the first I feel there would be restrictions on what systems the first could appear on.
Reading the previews of this game is actually making me excited for its release. They are doing a great with it it seems.
I dont feel like the majority of people agree with you. I know a lot of people picking up Tomb Raider because they loved the 2013 one so much.
Reminds me of Bioshock 1. Came out much later on the PS3 so it felt like a "xbox" game and Playstation owners had so much other stuff to play by the time it came out.
@Halo2ODST2
Maybe Driveclub wasn't mentioned by Neonridr because its a PS game but because it DID have a horrible launch. All I am saying is that if you can use the argument that Driveclub is only brought up because its PS exclusive, the same argument can be said about MCC because it is xbox exclusive as its not the worse offender of having launch issues.
In that case people should stop bringing up Halo:MCC just because it is an Xbox game. It is by no means the "gold standard" of faulty launches. Driveclub was just as bad or worse and AC: Unity is the worse offender yet.
@ The_Infected
Bubble up for you and well said, its nice to see someone who isnt an argumentative fanboy on here.
PS is outselling xbox and made this generation very competitive which is better for consumers.
