Even if PS4 sales were double the xbone, third parties are still putting the game on xbox. Both systems are so similar to PCs that its much easier to port games between systems this gen. If you can reach another 5+ million customers with little effort, why wouldn't you?
It's nice that Sony is making a profit with the playstation. With the recently announced loss their mobile division took, if the PS4 wasn't doing so well I would be scared the brand would be lost for good.
I am an xbone owner and quite glad the PS4 is doing so well. It made Microsoft step up there game and I ended up with free games with my console purchase, which I wouldn't have gotten if the PS4 wasn't selling as well.
Agreed, it is definitely a way for EA to combat used games sales. When games are out for 6-12 months people who were only partially interested start buying them used and EA sees no profit. This way people wont buy a used copy of BF4 or NFS: Rivals, instead pay $30 to have the game and more and EA gets paid, not Gamestop or Walmart.
Oh look more resolution statements. I used to enjoy coming to this site to read comments but now it all seems to be the same thing. Xbox one runs games at 900P to have the same visuals as the PS4 at 1080P. It's common knowledge at this point point that this is becoming the norm, why do people need to keep stating it everytime. What a waste of discussion.
If they consolidate all of the multiplayer maps into one mp mode, and added 4 player coop for each game I have me and 3 friends who would pick it up in an instant.
I used to love this website, and I still do for congregating news, but the Sony fanboys just have way too much say here now. They all want to poke fun and pick out faults with anything that is not their precious playstation. I love sony, I have two ps3's at home for games/media servers but the people here are just plain ridiculous the way they get on.
At the top of the article the rating that the rumour maybe true is hopefully. Why? Why would you hope that a game that i...
Agreed. Creating a new dynamic gameplay mechanic to make the game more interesting is not a flaw. Other reviewers love the system and the suprises it gave. I have a feeling we'll see a variation of this in other games going forward.
From what I remember the big exclusive games coming out the rest of 2014 for PS4 are Last of Us Remastered, Driveclub and Little Big Planet 3. That's just off the top of my head.
I would have to pick Nintendo as the winner. I'm a PS and Xbox owner but they showed the most new games and most interesting ones that people will care about.
Only bought my PS3 about a year ago and in that year played Uncharted 1 and 2 and now playing Uncharted 3 and loving it. Can't wait to buy a PS4 next year when this game arrives.
Not a huge Halo fan but the Master Chief Collection with hundreds of hours of gameplay and the goofy Sunset Overdrive helped me decide to pick up the Xbone this year and wait til 2015 to get my PS4 with Uncharted 4.
Was super excited after the reveal trailer, but seeing the gameplay in action looks more of the same. The reveal made me think that the environments would be more interactive than they actually are. Still excited for the game but not as much as I was.
The Witcher 2 (never played the first one) is an amazing game but I will admit it took some getting used too and awhile to get into. Unless you dedicate some time to get into it, know how to use traps and the magic system then you may have a hard time really enjoying the game. With that said, after finished the 2nd one, the 3rd is high on my must play list.
Im thinking Jason Todd. In Battle for the Cowl, he dressed himself up as a gun-toting Batman already.
Will you ps and xbox fanboys just STFU. Here you have a game that developers are trying to discuss and all people care about is the fact that there is a fewer less pixels on one system compared to the other. I see thousands of comments all over the net about the resolution of games, yet barely anyone is talking about the gameplay which is far more important. Are all of you going to sit their, not touch the controller and count pixels or are you going to be playing the game and enjoying it for...
The gameplay screenshots still look great, even in 720P. The close up shot though of Snake doesn't look right. There is no way there is that huge of a difference between 1080P and 720P.
This came off as a poorly written review, especially compared to more in-depth reviews like Joystiq and IGN did with both new systems.
I agree with this. I live in an area where we don't get all of the shows I enjoy so I have to download them, which I usually put on a usb stick and plug into my xbox so its a feature I will be looking for in my next console.
I agree with Jeff. Me and my friends have both a xbox and ps4. Guess which system we all bought CoD on? The Xbox. The controller and online environment are what were used to to get our CoD fix.
