What the hell is wrong with you?
Right, because that's all it is, a camera.
And how much do you pay for cameras, exactly?
Look, I think Kinect is mostly lame too, guys, but there is something everyone here is seriously not realizing- Microsoft is going to make a shit ton of cash.
Kinect isn't meant to be "for hardcore gamers", so of course, you are all going to say "Oh, okay, this isn't cool. Since it doesn't appeal to me, NO ONE WILL BUY IT." Microsoft knows that's not true. In fact, Microsoft knows that's downright stupid.
Do you know wh...
Kinect will still sell move. When you have to pay $210 to play with two players, you have a bad fucking business model.
I'm not saying Move is worse, (because Kinect is a goddamn wash) but Microsoft knows exactly what they're doing. They make money. They're catering to the casual crowd, and they're going to rake in big, big bucks.
That means nothing. Amazon has a placeholder price based on what other sites say.
If 20 million is barely anybody, then "only a handful of people" live in Great Britain.
Great. Other people aren't thinking the same way. Different strokes for different folks.
And umpteenth? We haven't seen a Donkey Kong Country or Kid Icarus game /this decade/.
8 of the 10 games you mentioned are sequels, dude.
Not Xbox 360 exclusive ones.
Well, that's a very close-minded view. Why tell you what was "amazing" if you're not going to care anyway?
Oh, get over it. Casual gaming won't "ruin" the gaming industry, and I'm sick of pretentious gamers claiming it will. They will act as separate markets. Gears of War 3 isn't suddenly cancelled because of Karaoke Revolution. Plus, there are some "hardcore" gamers that even like this stuff. So calm down.
... source?
Yeeeaaah, I don't think so.
People make jokes about Gabe all the time- even people who love him. It has nothing to do with who he is or what he does.
What people don't realize- these glasses are going to be a separate cost. They are going to be expensive, too.
Pretty misleading title. They ALMOST gave up on MotionPlus.
Kinect pricing isn't final, man. And Microsoft will almost definitely release their low-level Kinect games at $40. Rare develops them, and Rare releases games at $40 now. (Banjo-Kazooie, Viva Pinata, etc.)
And let's assume the Kinect is $150. The PS Move is $130- minimum. That's if you buy the bundle and a nunchuck. If you want to play two player, that's another $80. Kinect is up to 8 (4?) players for $150. I think that's a better deal.
Well... that's a dumb way to look at it.
Definitely. Unless Microsoft or Sony comes back with something in the next few days. (And why would they?)
Archery with one controller? That just sounds stupid. Work it out with your hands.
