Call of duty has been played for many years on a traditional display.
I don't think an old IP is going to help with pushing VR.
When I imagine something like No Man's Sky or maybe Destiny where there's a vast world to explore seems to be more applicable to a VR experience.
Sony did the same if not worse, " You're going to want to have 2 jobs to be able to afford this " I mean that's not advertising, that's saying " Hey can't afford it?you might be slacking " XD.
We're mostly getting ripped off by these ridiculous taxes attached to everything.
Shipping and all of that not having a proper $ to € ratio, there's many things that bumps these prices up,in the end though it could result in people avoiding your products,so i think it's weird these companies are not complaining.
€699 Riiiiiiiicccchhhh Raaaacceeerr?
XD.In good fun and all that.It kind of applies, being expensive and some wanting it really badly.
Exactly.
lol
You really think you're going to see PS2 unit sales? It's not even going to be PS3 numbers.I'm still figuring out why people are celebrating sales.
Gaming has never been this widespread available, that also makes a market more vulnerable to sudden loss of interest.
It will never be as it once was, dying is a process of deterioration.
When they say it's dead would be another story
.
It's a good thing i waited and took the PS4 X-MAS deal. They had the right idea just not well enough executed.I'm not sure they could handle a monthly fee service.
Pre-ordering has its use,not with well established IP's though.
Like many other things on this planet it's upside-down.
Expect that to be an ungoing trend,middle-market has vanished and the distinction between AAA and low budget titles has grown.
We're lucky to have more than the average playtime with AAA titles.
(Witcher,Fallout)
Is third- party going to put in the effort though?I can see this happening on PC,not sure about the X1 though.
You see @Yewles i'm just as relevant as the Pachter factor LOL.
It's not a hard prediction to make,i think many people expected it.
You shouldn't go by software predicting hardware requirements.Even Geforce Experience can't predict settings for games properly. There's a lot of variables within hardware for it to be an automated process.
Adjusting screen resolution to be automated based on your computer's output is one of those examples.Sure it matches your resolution but that's not going to tell you how well the game will perform.
The TV purchase is actually being used in the same price category not a TV being cheaper which wasn't even the point.A choice of playing, which was my point.
When you compare a TV to a Goggle it's not about how much a TV might cost, but not having to strap it to your head. The rest of your comment really is inappropriate kind of smells like a t***.
Hooray for delay no token for release broken.
People keep comparing this to TV purchases, are you strapping a 40" TV to your forehead? There's a world of difference. They're choices of how to play.
Comparing those prices is not based on a similar experience,in fact most people choose to play on a 40" TV rather than a VR goggle.
The idea and concept are great, the game itself fell short of its premise.
I have no intention of buying it again.
@Crimzon
Interesting you brought that up,there was a court ruling not long ago which was very favorable towards preservation of games. The problem however consisted of a few things. The game in question has to be no longer available and no longer commercially relevant.
You could apply this to NES,Megadrive,N64 and so on,some old games are physically preservable while also digitally sold.It also meant preservation without cracking it but I guess a publisher woul...
Nah,the general public adoption will be very scarce and nothing really significant will come in 2016 to make it a massive movement towards VR in terms of gaming.
