Sega had a good idea,the Dreamcast but it was too late.
This is not really the same though,Sega made their add-ons with specific reasons to have exclusive content for that piece of hardware from the start.Sony on the other hand is not doing that or better said not admitting that they can't really make that promise.In any case,much smarter as what Sega did.
Not really a need,they know though they have to be clear now about their message and not make it seem the 4K model will get anything exclusive.I'm not even sure why that's a good thing to me as a gamer.I do know that they can't really make it seem that the PS4 is the inferior product on all sides of the coin.

A lot of games are not even worth buying regardless of it being digital or physical media,so those saying that would change with everything being all digital just don't understand there's more issues in the current industry than the difference in publishing platforms.

The numerical rating is flawed,we have been led to believe it signifies a maximum score but usually that means a test that's equal to everyone,a game will never be equal to everyone and therefore the numerical rating holds no merit to a crowd.
When it's really an engine issue it usually doesn't power you around it.
