This is my first KZ experience, I haven't played the previous iterations as I was an Xbox guy last generation and flipped to PS4 for all of the obvious reasons.

Agreed. MP has been much more fun in my opinion.
It's not a very graphically-intensive game. I would hope the XB1 could push this out at that resolution. Otherwise, yikes.
Best looking console game ever. No denying that. But the campaign, while beautiful, didn't do anything for me.

On topic, as a former Xbox guy, he is completely right. MS completely dropped the ball last gen on exclusive games. They appear content and poised to do the exact same thing with the XB1. My only edit to his comment would be to add Quantum Break. Other than that, there are no planned exclusive IPs that would excite me. ...
I was an Xbox 360 guy who skipped over to the PS camp this generation for all of the obvious reasons. One of those reasons is because of what MassEffect23 mentioned. So, I did indeed have an MS console and can speak from personal experience.

I'll play new games on my PS4 as well. I will have a CHOICE to pay more for the old games.

I've played it. I honestly don't care for the campaign. It's not terrible but the pacing is off. Graphically, it's the best out there (I've played Ryse and it's good but not great).
For me, even with all the bugs and crashes, I've enjoyed BF4 the most and then AC4 and Resogun would tie for second place.
I cannot wait for Infamous and The Order to get here.

My bill runs me about $200 a month as well. I have a large house with electric heating, multiple TVs... in fact I have at least double what you listed above in both items/electronics and I'm assuming square footage as well. So, I don't understand how you can be shocked at that number. Some people on this site have well-paying day jobs, houses and cars. Shocking, I know.
