He has a point here. The XBox 360 has a 12x DVD player in it at 1x it transfers 1,350kb/s. PS3 has the 2x Blu-Ray player, it transfers at 72mbit/s.

Blu-ray speed never varies always 9MB/s

12x DVD player speed varies ranging from 9-16MB/s

But the slowest 12x DVD speed is Blu-Ray's constant.

The way Sony designed the PS3, the speed of the drive isn't really an issue at all thanks to the HDD. We all know HDD smokes all drives (at thi...

Don't complain about the 5gigs for this game when you have the option to upgrade. Sony made it very easy to replace your harddrive. If your not certain as to what to get, check out my link below.

Ofcourse you can buy cheaper ones with less space. But for the price and storage space on this one...it can't be b...

I asked the same damn thing to TnS. I wrote a comment yesterday on your post and then I look this morning and it failed but turn right around and see the exact same thing posted and passed. I'm with you on this one...you royally got screwed over by fanboyism if you ask me.

Uncharted isn't as similar to Tomb Raider as most may think. If you played Uncharted you'd realize there is a huge difference. Yeah its fundamentally the same with cliffs, jumps, puzzles but that is as far as it goes. *btw, beat it today, wonderful experience, didn't expect the survival horror thrown into the mix*

Halo is a spin off of Unreal Tournament if anything.

Well thats what I use to think. I bought the Wii for my 5 year old daughter. After playing it for the last 6 months I would have said it was a fad. None of the games held my interest more than 30 mins. Even the Zelda game (only gave that 10 mins worth of play time) didn't do anything for me. Until I played SMG... I couldn't put the damn game down. The first universe is pretty damn lame though. I'll revisit this topic when I reach the 50-75% mark.

If only Nintendo coul...

I can not wait to see all the things they will add to this in future updates. I remember reading you'll be able to buy actual cars through this game(full version). If that will become a reality or not is yet to be seen.

This is lovely. This generation of systems never cease to amaze me. To get PCM in a video game is like TVs getting color. Alright no where near that drastic but still...

Just like CW said...your not forced to buy it. No game will require you to have rumble to play it. Maybe you won't be forced into buying a motion sensing controller for the X360 either. Like is some of Sony's games you can turn off the Sixaxis feature. Lair...well we all know that was a huge mistake.

6608d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

There is a learning curve with tech like this. And we saw how it failed in Lair. But the newer games like Ratchet and Uncharted use the Sixaxis extremely well. Lets hope they don't write it off with the first games released for it. Look at the Wii's first gen 3rd party games...horrible. The controls perform nothing like Nintendo's first party games.

The only problem I see with this is that the system didn't have this tech in place from the beginning. And history shows ad...

Sony had the motion sensing patent first but Nintendo was the first to implement it. Which in turn Sony rushed out to modify it's controllers to use the tech prior to release. As for rumble...that was borrowed from the PC simulation market.

They couldn't wait till the New Year? Why during the holiday season? Especially for the reasons #6 said...they could have been banned when the offenses happened and not wait till they are vacation and such. Lame practices indeed.

Genki - I don't KNOW these things. It is just a hypothesis bro. Based of what was done with GT4:P and what we are seeing now, we are basically beta testers for the final version. Notice how the online play isn't fully implemented, only 4 tracks, can't invite your friends, etc. For those that purchase the game will definitely voice their opinion to the game designers as to what they would like to see changed or implemented for the first time comes GT5.

Btw, graphically I ca...

Last thing I want to see is the computer industry to stop advancing with the graphics cards. The set the stage for the graphics advancement over the years. While the PC users may get to benefit from the advancements first at a premium, I'll wait for a version of that in the next console. PS4 and Xbox w/e will boast some pretty awesome graphics in the future.

Long live graphics card advancement!

With UT3 you are able to play with a mouse and keyboard. Yes that setup makes all the difference in the world. I play the PS3 version and simply love it. I loved UT series for years and if the keyboard and mouse setup didn't work like the computer version I was going to fork out a couple Gs to upgrade. But...that is no longer the case. Oh yeah lets not forget the mod ability with the PS3 version. Gotta love it gotta love it. Can I get an Oorah!

Now this sounds very interesting. I hope it is a good game to hold over my FF fix.

Look at GT5:P buyers as beta testers. This game is no where near what the full GT5 will be. Everything with this game is scaled down to fix bugs, implement new features and to test those features through future updates. I'm sure our experience and opinions will be addressed in the full version.

I believe the sole reason for the Xbox 360 not selling anywhere near where it could be is due to hardware reliability issues. Xbox has the games, games that were released would have sold millions if the installed base was there, especially Blue Dragon. Japanese have to be some of the most informed electonics buyers in the world. They do research prior to buying, unlike other countries in the world.
