Yup SF2 remake is suppose to come out the end of this summer or beginning of fall. Original estimated release for SF4 was X-mas '08 or first quarter '09. Best believe this will be a long wait...

Thank you for the Bubble Xplosneer.

As for Kakkoii (handsome in Japanese?...can't remember) Anyways, thanks for the further analysis. 11 years is a mighty large improvement over current HDDs. I can only hope they will find ways to increase its longevity.

Who in the hell is wonderwallweb.com? How in the hell did they get to review this game first?

"In case you still needed a tad more evidence, he also stated that "a pattern could be perpetually repeated in which a 64GB SSD is completely filled with data, erased, filled again, then erased again every hour of every day for years"

This has to be one of the most open ended statements I have ever seen. Would that equate to 3-5 years? But luckly a guy named Thinker in the Engadget forums decided to do some math for us...

No I wouldn't. Who hasn't been to a friend's house that had this game a year ago and played the hell out of it? Trying to bring something which is old and dated already is stupidity at its finest.

The only genre I can really see year old ports being successful are RPGs. My friends are cool, but they aren't that cool to let me sit in their living room and play their Xbox solo for hours on in.

Q: How many HD DVD players and recorders, exactly, did you sell?
A: 600,000 players in the US and 300,000 Xbox 360 HD DVD drives. 100,000 units were sold in Europe. And about 10,000 players and 20,000 recorders in Japan. So about 1,030,000 units worldwide.

...that was from your link. Not sure where you got your numbers from.

Btw, I didn't mean to hit agree...oops!

Where do you live?

I'm contemplating very hard over the WD or the Samsung.

WD - Faster seek times 68MB/s transfer time
But 60c Max Temp.

Samsung - Faster 70MB/s transfer time Cooler temp 5-55c
But 18.3ns seek time

Tough choice here...

This speculation has been going on for awhile now. I hope there is a new <1% fail rate version coming out. I'd jump all over that like a hooka on a C note.

The only thing is, I think this is a poor way to implement the new sku. Why not phase it in so you don't lose out on potential costumers? ...I just don't understand the logic here.

*edit* actually I'd pick up a <5% fail rate version. I'd be plenty happy with that so I can pick up Lost Odessy.

According the article...looks like we have to wait till Tuesday.

As soon as Toshiba pulls it I can finally get excited, knowing Universal and Paramount will finally start to bring those movies over I've been missing.

Hopefully by this summer everything will be produced for Blu-Ray.

So it is better to pay Toshiba than Sony?

Great post Smack and Kewlcat. That is what it all boils down to. To get as many Sony fans to change over to Xbox. I know if I was in this business I would do the same thing no questions about it. Microsoft is making huge gains this generation. If I was a multi-billion dollar company, my slogan would be: If you can't beat'em, buy'em!

While it sounds fanboyish, it is the way of the world. You don't stay rich by being a b!tch. (damn thats a good quote, I might need to copy...

Nintendo is selling millions per month world wide. Yes I believe Nintendo's story but honestly I did not at first. Nintendo said this all along they couldn't match the demand for their system.

Microsoft on the other hand never had a supply issue until the month that Sony outsells them? I will agree with you on the Elites. It not that are being sold out so fast...retailers aren't even getting them from Microsoft. Rumor has it they are coming out with a new sku. I'll wait a...

First off, let me say, I love your picture. Obama '08!!

Ok back to the topic at hand.

If you were Owner at Burger King and you ran out of Whoppers because the supply manager didn't forecast his allocation correctly. It cost you thousands of dollars and end result you lost customer loyalty? So they ran off to McDonald's and bought Big Macs...

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Sony make the DVD? So what would be any different with them adding the Blu-Ray?

I'll be damned if I'd have a XBox running my home automation/security. 16%-33% chance of someone breaking into my house...umm...F-dat!

...I'm sorry. I'm just not buying the shortage at all. A system that has been out for 2 years can possibly run out of consoles?

This is Microsoft, of all companies in the world, they should be the last people on earth that doesn't know how to manage their supply division. Either this story is fabricated or someone needs to get fired. Period.

This is not a flame in the least. In November they when they noticed the surge in sells someone in the supply division...
