The Wii has some power, but your forgetting that both the PS3 and the 360 have hard drives to help lessen the load of data.
The 360 version had alot of trouble with loading data if not installed to the hard drive.

I have to agree with your opinion, as Microsofts scaler is a great way to smooth out a picture, that is what it only does.
Its basically a filter that halves pixels, or divides them into an arrangement more pleasing to the eyes, or simpler put "less jaggys".
On one hand, it was a great idea, and even Nintendo 64 had this feature, but it doesn't really mean you can completely control its focus.
