Microsoft truly has a lot to learn about the console business.
Once again, they only see the cheese up ahead without seeing the mousetrap behind it.
amateurs...
looks like war has changed yet again for old snake.
happy retirement snake. you deserve it
[makes a call to congress]...
hello?
yeah. you remember that alternative fuel motor I promised you?
well...
as a fan of sony, I find this odd
the numbers look pretty realistic to me ^_^
that being said, they have come a long way as well(a la xbox LIVE). I also find Kaz Hirai's personality quite calm and humble at this point, which is wierd since he usually is known for his pride. Again, as I said earlier, Microsoft still has much to learn as far as being both a hardware manufactuer and a game company. The reason for this is because they have yet to learn how to reserve certain resources for those critical points in the system's lifecycle. There is a reason why the Playstatio...
sigh..
guess we americans will be getting it last T_T
one of the first levels in sonic adventure FTW
to go this far just to be on top, I can't really blame him.
but at what cost
If you want a perfect example of balance between casual and hardcore for Nintendo look at the Nintendo DS. Unlike its console bretheren which made many Wii owners felt abandoned in favor of the casual crowd, The DS still gets its fair share of hardcore titles from various first and second party franchices. It also is, ironically, the first platform to experiment with the whole "casu...
Their consoles are known forhaving 10 year cycles. Do you ask if Mcdonalds should stop making Big Macs?
Another reason why this isn't a hot idea is because it could potentially hurt the Playstation brand itself. How would you like it if you bought a Playstation, expecting it to last 10 yrs, and found out that 5 years later that Sony was discontinuing it. the Sony brand is all about reliability guaranteed, but I guess this guy didn't research first before making this article.
I surely hope not
I think, IMO, that HOME would prevail in the end due to the immersion that is potentially possible within the virtual world itself. Unlike the Miis, where you can only participate in games and contests, and the Avatars, which seem to be pretty much the same as Nintendo, The HOME avatars are, in every sense of the word, you in the virtual world(you can even play an arcade game inside HOME itself as if you were there).
MS could flip our heads with what could be possible with thos...
ask the MS guys that question and they would say:
well, uhhh.. I want them all
Japanese tend to like mech genres, RPG's platformer's, basically anything that Sony and Nintendo has as far as genres are concerned.
The Xbox 360? not so much. Although there's some variety(especially during the launch window in 2005) it mostly consist of Shooters and everything in between.
Japanese just don't get into that kind of stuff like the americans do
There was also a time when Sony was full of pride, but that same prie did not help them face the reality that was the $600 price tag. Since then, Sony has literally humbled itself and has realized its mistakes(which was shown at E307) by improving its weaknesses as its strengths. Microsoft, on the other hand, has not been very humble by its cuurrent position. A company's pride can only go so far in the world of video games, and I think that's something that MS has let to know. To bash a syste...
bubbles on me
bubbles to you
@ Ashton how dare you sound like such a fanboy. The open zone is That-A-Way ------------------------------ ---------------------->
on a serious note, That truly is as good of a question as any
More Smash Bros Brawl anyone?
[laughs on the inside]
bubbles to you man. that was my line
DEATH
(of course, I was kidding when I meant it)
As for trying to bash Sony(offtopic) justifying this "inspirational" moove, nothing could be further from the truth.
since when did trophies have something in common with a score system
HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH?
