8.4 million by Black Ops is just ridiculous, even across multiple platforms.
I think we get the picture by now that NPD is America only, we get reminded about this every time the 360 sells the most units.
No Mayweather again? He obviously doesn't want to be in the game.
No Mass Effect 3 then.
I actually love the colour, but I'll probably wait for the price to drop.
@ longrod
I assume you're the type of person that complains that the Xbox has nothing but shooters, yet you scoff at games like this.
Well duh, the concept for the entire series was known to be in existence ages ago.
Agreed, I thought they took the commando perk out the game, but it seems now that everyone has it by default.
@ Shanks
Since you're being so picky, you might as well discount MLB 10 The Show cause it's on PS2 and PSP as well.
Tell me about it, it set the benchmark for open world games.
Hopefully we will see it on XBL and PSN soon.
Capcom, forget your new crappy franchises, let's see the return of Onimusha and Dino Crisis!
I'm sure many people have not played Halo 1. The series has grown a massive following since then.
I think he is right personally. The decline in handheld gaming isn't going to happen overnight, it will happen over the next 5 years or so. Dedicated gaming devices just don't cut it anymore, look at the PS3 and 360 with all it additional non-gaming features (Netflix, Last.fm, ESPN etc.) If Sony and Nintendo (and possibly Microsoft) are to compete in the portable market in the future, they need to move in this direction. The PSP Phone is a step in the right direction.
I agree, but it's that sort of experimental stuff that they should have seen at launch.
Whether it destroys Black Ops and Halo Reach remains to be seen, but this article doesn't really present a convincing argument.
@thegamer41
Fable 2, Forza 3, Guitar Hero 2, Assassins Creed 2, Madden 09, all sold at least 2 million on the 360.
Glad they included Metro, a game that really takes you out your comfort zone.
Seems like a fair score judging from the comments that they made.
Aye, you take the chainsaw for granted now, but the first time was amazing.
You would still expect a major franchise like that to be in the top 5 after a week. Nevertheless, I expect it sold like crazy in Europe.
