It definitely defeats the purpose if you are a gamer who has the ability to defeat the game on a higher difficulty setting. If you can beat the game on hardcore, you'll get very very little reward for beating the game on easy, or even normal for that matter.
On the other hand, depending on the type of person you are, if normal or easy mode presents a really good challenge for you, then it will be a meaningful undertaking.

The difference for me has always been the position of the thumbsticks. I had a ps3 for years before I eventually ended up getting an xb360. The only reason I got it was because I knew I could use my ds3 controller with an xcm cross fire converter. If not, I wouldn't have bothered. Personally, I much prefer the parallel thumbsticks. This is very interesting news. Hope its true.
But as the article says, they made a powerful console at a very affordable price. I don't see why they couldn't do the same for a V.R. headset. They'll have a good idea that O.R. are aiming at a very attractive retail price, so I reckon they'd try to make one that can compete. If O.R. are talking 300Euro, then a Sony brand for 350-400 would be conceivable i think.

I think he has a point. I'm a big fan of the uncharted series, but it becomes increasingly more difficult to keep a series fresh. I don't think they should branch into the sci-fi genre so much, because ND's main attribute is not only superb looking games but obviously after TLOU, story driven narrative. I wouldn't be surprised, with the talent behing ND, they could produce more new IP's that would leave us picking our jaws off the floor again!
They hope to get this onto next gen if they can secure the funding for it. I would love to see this on next gen, it looks absolutely super on any of the PC demo builds I've watched on you tube.

I doubt they will m8, the reason being that O.R. have suggested in a recent interview I seen, that their V.R. headset will be more than likely on the retail marked sometime in the near future. They specifically said it wasn't years but months away. I reckon we'll see it this time next year. That said, it means VR will be huge in the near future. Most gamers would be very keen to get this experience on their systems, personally I would if it was affordable. Sony if they were to wait to...

Yea, I also feel it will make the Japanese feel a little bit better knowing their being considered first over the west as regards vita tv. If Sony were to launch both vita tv and Ps4 in all areas at the same time, they could possible over-saturate the market, potentially harming sales. Filtering them out seems like a more sensible approach. It will raise the expectations of those who are interested in the product.
