The 4 Kings was the toughest thing in both games to me and much worst on NG+. The witch that was supposed to aid you was completely useless.
Confusion is part of the appeal for these games. Not knowing what lies behind the corner or if that person is a friend or foe or what to do with a silly doll you find and once you approach a painting miles away that doll opens up a whole new world in front of you, sleeping in a giant crows nest transports you to a previous area, all that what made DS a great game to me.
If I recall correctly between the first announced release date of GTA IV and the actual one there was nearly 6 or 7 months. Let's hope there are no delays this time.
I thought Ubisoft dropped a few hints in AC3 on the whereabouts of the next location. Connor was invited to visit Paris and London by two characters in that game, though I cannot remember their names.
If they don't announce the release date by early December I seriosly doubt it would be released next spring.

Dark Souls is the best game this gen for me. I've enjoyed every second of it and can't wait for the next title from these great developers.
I used to preorder games all the time, but after Dragon Age I stopped. It was the biggest disappopintment this gen. The combat system was just silly. I watched some videos of the game before release and I was really excited about it, but none of them were gameplay videos. Well, we live and learn.
13 had much better graphics than 13-2 or any other JRPG out there. The difficulty lies in getting 5 stars in battles by carefully selecting you team, weapons, accessories and paradigm customization.
I hope for the PS4 Sony would allow the updates to go to the download manager. That way if you get disconnected from the net you don't have to start all over again and they would be downloading in the backgraound while you can be doing something else.
Dark Souls is my favorite game of all time. I'm on NG+++ and enjoying every minute of it, but I can never get passed NG+ in Demon Souls. I guess I find the latter alot harder.
I think the developers should organise and do the trophies in a way that reflect how they want us to play their games and get the maximum enjoyment out of them.

you misunderstood my comment, I never said that FF13 and 13-2 were bad games. Infact FF13 is my favorite JRPG of this gen. I have played all the JRPG that came out from Enchanted Arms till FF13-2 and after playing FF13 all the others become unplayable to me. What I was trying to say is that developers should not have listened to the fanboys and my guess is that the FFvs13 delay is due to Square Enix trying hard to please the fanboys and that may have clouded their vision an...
My guess is that after the bad reception from gamers which ff13 and ff13-2 got, square enix tried to incorporate into ff versus 13 all the suggestions and comments the fans had made and that turned the game into a big mess. But I hope I'm wrong about that.

I still feel it was wrong on Microsoft's side not to have had HD DVD Drive built-in since launch in Nov 2005. By now I'm sure that every xbox360 owner would have bought at least 5 or 6 HD DVDs. Next Gen means out with the old. And they should have had the wireless network adapter built in as well. I'm not sure how Microsof will deal with the problem of fitting games on DVD9. It's not gonna be an easy time for Microsoft since I'm sure all this will have a great effect on their long term plans....
After playing the game for 5 days, do you feel that there's alot of dialogue? I haven't got game yet, but the only thing that's worrying me from what I've read so far about the game that there is a lot of dialogue.

I also often wonder why developers don't think of more creative ways to make JRPG. I guess people are bored not with the genre itself, but with the recurring themes, such as desert cities with their sand dunes, palm trees, turbanned NPCs and scorpion or centipedes enemies, snow covered cities theme, volcano and caves themes and so on. Also Half beast half human or half this half that enemies.
