To me The Four Kings is the toughest boss. I'm on NG+6 and they don't seem to get any easier.
I platimumed both games, but my personal preference and the game I always go back and play when I feel like playing a decent RPG is Dark Souls. Alot of exclusives are going multiplat. As for the more power, that's for the developers and the experts on the matter to decide.
From past experience, hardware reliablity is most important to me personally.
There's no reason to fire the guy. After all that rage on the net due to the used games restrictions and the U-turn on these policies and even with a $100 higher price than the PS4, the xbox1 pre-orders are catching up.

That's all good if you have attended the expo. But for the rest of us we hoped to see more trailors and maybe a demo or two on PSN. A Dark Souls 2 demo would have been great.
It's one thing to "listen" to the fans and another to change the vision they have built the console around. You can't just make it up as you go along for the whole lifecicle of a console and hope for the best. You have to have a vision, stratigic planning, allocation of resoures and so on in order to be successful.
Alot of games are coming to both gens. What will be the deciding factor to get the games on this or the next gen. I seriously doubt that the graphics or AI would be any different. Probably some iteraction with with mobile phones and tablets will be made availabe.
You're not the only one. I have really enjoyed FF13 series. I can't compare them with the previous FF games since I haven't played any.

People have selective memories and don't seem to learn from past mistakes. My main concern with any new xbox would be hardware reliabilty. From my personal experience especially after 2 360 PRODed (the second supposedly a build that was PROD resistant) that hardware reliability is the first thing to look for when considering buying a new console, which would be difficult since most hardware problems appeared a year and a half down the line. People seem to have forgotten about that and now...
Even with MS's restrictions, PS4 to Xbox1 pre-orders were 2:1 at some stage which proves they still have a large following regardless. Their approach in explaining their policies was rather lacking. They should have researched who had bought secondhand and swap games with friends this gen and whether the new restrictions would persuade them to change their buying behaviour which I seriously doubt. At least these poeple bought the 360 and with these new restrictions they probably won't...
The keyword here is vision. How would a company's change in their vision affect their strategy which they have been working on since the inception of the xbox one?
It'll be very interesting to see how all this will play out. Maybe in the near future we will even read about it in business books.
It is interesting. I think MS believes the future is digital for the wrong reasons. More discs sold means more profit for bluray. I wonder if Sony get royalties for bluray and whether the amount is significant.
Once you get the Fog Ring it's much easier.
The least they could do after 7 years is give us a release window.
I think time between announcing a game and releasing it shouldn't exceed 6 months.
It would be great if they release the demo on PSN and give the public a taste of what's coming. March 2014 is a long way away.

I personally borrow and lend PS3 games and bought a few 2nd hand ones, but at the same time I can understand MS position on this issue. Imagine 4 of you going to a bar and ordering 1 drink and sharing it. Is that illegal? No, but you'll get one unhappy bar owner. Is it ethical? That's up to you to decide.
If Ms succeeds (and I hope they won't)in this, it won't be long til Sony follows suit.
What makes you think that Dark souls wouldn't be the same even if was called Demon's Souls 2 and a PS3 exclusive? They could have decided to change the lore, have a more open world feel to it. etc either way. I have enjoyed both games tremendously. I think the difference between the two games is due to novelty. Demon's and Dark Souls for me. There is multiplayer in them but they can be played without online connections.
