I disagree that X was the last real FF game.. it was the first FF that started going about a linear storyline with no exploration, and that's one of the big things that made a FF game what it was.

I would say, for me, the best FF game was VI followed by IV, then VII.

XBOX fanboys love using that as their excuse as to why it didn't sell as much, and it gave PS the lead JUST because of that.
When in reality, it is all the good things about PlayStation and it's long living brand name that sold consoles. People knew they were getting a quality console with the most exclusives and most variety.

Playstation is definitely numero uno in the console world. It's got the exclusives, power, superior performance, VR soon, top level developers and indie support. The only thing that is slow must be your attention span. No offense, but the beginning is not THAT slow, if you play 15 minutes then it gets going. The festival in the beginning is the only part that is "slow", and it takes like 10 to 1t minutes to finish up and get your adventure going. That's just like any other JRPGS though..
Well, I Am Setsuna is the spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger, and was created by the same people who worked on all those old, amazing JRPGs, but a remake seems unlikely considering they just made I Am Setsuna instead of a Chrono Trigger remake or another sequel because Square Enix is involved in I Am Setsuna's development.
On the topic of Chrono Trigger, there is another game for PS4/Vita that is releasing soon called 'Cosmic Star Heroine' that looks and play...
